    Great video... its itresting how from the top male deaths in UG no diseases such as High blood pressure, liver cirrhosis and digestive disorder as a result of alcohol compared to kenya where there is cirrhosis ..is the locally produced UG alcohol better than the KE bottled one?... putting aside the adultered one in kenya

    • @blackorwa

      Thank you! One hypothesis is that Ugandans eat better than Kenyans hence less stomach ulcers. The relaxed life in UG may contribute to less high blood pressure. I can't explain liver cirrhosis

      I think it will only be a matter of time before we start seeing the effect of high alcohol consumption on the UG population.

    • @blackorwa

      It might already be there but the cause of deaths are misclassified

      Ugandan's eat well hence can tolerate more alcohol, visit there and you will see how much food they eat

      Nutrition esp pottasium high in bananas n green vegetables combats the liver’s exposure to risks. My lay opinion though.

    Kindly do another video where you beg for forgiveness for the last conclusion...
    Great analysis though. Great historical connection.
    I work in the alcohol industry. We've been trying to get people to produce alcohol using natural ingredients as opposed to chemicals. All these craft brewers coming up are part of our efforts.
    There was a study done last year that showed western Kenya outdrinking Central by a wide margin. They don't have these problems associated with alcohol like poor performance in bed, absent fathers, inability to provide for the family, sleeping in the trenches etc.
    There could be another cause to the problem in central Kenya; culture.
    Culture of money at all costs leads to adulteration
    Culture of drinking to a stupor
    Culture of domestic violence against men is driving them away from the home.
    Culture of FOMO and/or copycat (which also influences their voting behaviour and business practices).
    Culture of prioritising women has left men without a sense of purpose.

      The conclusion seem plausible but definitely not infallible. So I will await evidence to the contrary.
      It is in deed interesting that Western Kenya out-drinks Central without the associated adulteration and community problems. I suppose there is a hidden causal factor to the menace in Central Kenya.

    good video but i love when people make mistakes, illicit brew laced with ethanol? lol alcohol that is in it's drinkable form is ethanol, i think the presenter meant methanol or another alcohol derivative, it's just funny

    • @KAIZORIANEMPIRE

      i know they meant methanol but that's some health director or something and he doesn't know that the dangerous form of alcohol is methanol oloolo

    • @blackorwa

      Thank you. Pure ethanol is not harmful to humans when ingested. Many a times the illicit brew is laced with other forms of alcohols such as methanol which is toxic to humans.

    • @KAIZORIANEMPIRE

      yes but of course excessive pure ehtanol is bad, i am just annoyed kenyan journalists and doctors don't do enough research when creating information... methanol is usually what makes them blind, Good video keep it up, @@blackorwa

    • @blackorwa

      Correct, excessive consumption of ethanol is harmful to the body. I believe most journalist are unaware that alcohol is a general term for a certain class of chemicals. Much as we have acid with sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid e.t.c. Hence there are many types of alcohol; Butanol, propanol, ethanol, methanol....
      We can count journalist among the professionals who dodged chemistry classes.

      but even the medical director made the mistake lol and said ethanol that was funny :P@@blackorwa
