Power Steering Pump Change Land Rover Defender 200TDi

Well the power steering pump went on my defender and made it sound like a paint rattle can. I had to dig deep into the old bank account and buy a new one to fit. Here's the video of me changing the pump.

Very helpful video for me. My power steering pump /300TDi) sheared the output shaft on a motorway in France and threw the pulley and belt. I had to get towed to a Land Rover dealer to fit a new one which took a couple of days, getting the part and fitting. There was no noise or warning, the pulley was off with part of the shaft. I never worked out why it happened but it looked like the shaft had melted. I have erased the cost of the repair from my memory as it was so painful. This video was very helpful for if it ever happened again when on home soil, but it may never happen again.
