@@TroboTicTac on a pirated copy of Spyro 3, multiple collectibles might disappear from your inventory upon resetting or playing for a long time. What I'm saying is that the effect of Remove random prize (and the constant usage of it by the chat) is pretty similar yo what can be experienced on a pirated copy of Spyro 3
@@TroboTicTac I wouldn't know exactly for sure since I'm not a programmer nor a hacker. The PS1 had many ways to check if a game copy is ilegitimate, such technology could then be easily bypassed by applying one of many modchips and "cracking" the game into a regular CD. Spyro 3 had an amplíe combination of security checks that, combined with it tricking the player into believing everything was fine with the game, rendered the first attempts to crack the game unsuccessful, which is why many early illegal copies feature this particular phenomenon (Most games where cracked more or less a week later after release. Spyro 3 took a couple months). As of now, the game has been cracked and emulators don't usually trigger anti-piracy measurements so there is no worry about these things happening to you unless you want it to. Due to its notoriety, you can find a badly cracked copy and try it yourself, because it makes great content. I'm pretty sure I got a lot of things wrong. There are many videos that talk about it. This one goes a little further into technical details if you're into programming: th-cam.com/video/7HOBQ7HifLE/w-d-xo.html
