    Thank you for this. I love Cornelia Parker’s works. In particular I love her mind and the way she thinks about universals but then whittle them down into specific actions on particular materials and objects and their underlying narratives . Her way of working is just so inspiring.

    another kindred soul that experiences parts of their practice through mundane everyday stimulation. Love it!

    Lovely lady who makes so much sense..I really like her art...and understanding what's behind it makes it all the more interesting. A very gentle woman who is a true artist. She has to do it to feel right and all she ever wanted to do. Respect and appreciation due here not criticism, but all entitled to their opinions

    Cornelia Parker's work is astounding. I never really thought about her as a found object artist, because the way she uses the objects is so impactful and emotional, and arranged in a way that is so thoughtful.

    No, love - to paraphrase CS Lewis we're ALL immortal & that's why not knowing this is tragic. They kill to maintain mortality & torture to sustain this living death. Everyone you've ever met & those you rub shoulders with - your own screwed-up mortal pseudo-self > the gods that fell.

    Old people... can't use a computer so they embroider what they see on the screen. This is like when you get a cake decorated and ask them to put a picture on the cake. you hand the baker a USB drive and they print the picture of the drive on the cake

      Eric Ruffalo cant agree more. I appreciate a lot of modern art pieces. A lot of things she does just seem redundant...

    • @uknol
      @uknol 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Eric Ruffalo the meanings behind the work are also kinda... The logical order of it bothers me: she finds something, does something abt it, then finds a meaning for it. There's one bit on the sewing Wikipedia page in which after talking about how the words looks like Latin when reversed, she says "it's also political i think". Wt...

    Lessons in futility ,humans spending an enormous amount of time doing something that is time consuming and laborious and ultimately completely useless to show other humans they have spent an enormous amount of time making something that is laborious ,time consuming and useless .

    Ah...the "i'm an artist" haircut. It screams "pretentious" and "I have my head in my ass." I instantly hate people with this haircut.

    Too obvious, too self centered, too selfish.
