A beautiful mix of jump punches, dashes, forward airs, stomps, bros attacks and the 64 throw. By far the most badass thing Mario and Luigi have ever done, I've found a brand new appreciation for the super star 🌟
What to love of this climax? "The references to the games?" You fool... the references... to the other two Mario movies' climaxes! From the live action one we have the setting and the Mario's Newyorker rival having to eat back his words about how Mario sucks and the city cheering for him. From the OAV, we have... EVERYTHING ELSE! Mario crashes (quite literally) the wedding and the castle, is pounded to a pulp by Bowser, reaches the star with the help of Luigi, takes a stomp like a champ thanks to the invincibility, pounds Bowser back and tosses him in the air by the tail, WAY BEFORE SM64 made it "gay" (the first ever time he did that).
Dude i almost screamed out that line when i saw them do the throw, like my inner child just decided to jump out of me and it was the freaking highlight of the movie for me
This was a movie that I'd wanna have a watch party for, but only when everyone's seen the movie, and the party would be entirely for pointing out any references anyone sees
I don't give a shit what people say about this movie it was incredible honestly the best they could've done with it. The nostalgia bait was fucking everywhere and I loved every minute of it. Nintendo's got us by the balls better than Disney could ever dream of.
Not to ruin a meme, but the actual line Mario says in the N64 title is "So long, King Bowser!" But due to the low quality voice compression combined with the voice actors way of phrasing it made it sound like the meme we know now
