- Come away with us to experience another amazing camping trip with the HuskySquad. In this new video we invite you right into our tent and show you how our mornings look like in a rainy temperate rain forest. Watch the Squad stretch and yawn before having a delicious warm bowl of oatmeal topped with berries and coconut chips.
Refreshed and refueled, we hike away from our cozy campground and head for the quaint and sleepy town of Yachats near Cape Perpetua, for a total of over 13 miles!

I have two Huskies and they are just as calm. You're camping and hiking with yours like do with mine. I'm a barber with my own shop and they go to work with me and greet my clients. Everyone enjoys them and mine talk a bit which amuses people when I can understand what they say.

I wish I discovered huskies years ago. They’ve become my favorite breed. I do have my lab pit for a guard dog. He has two female huskies for companionship. They really watch out for each other. Your videos are the best.

Amazing! I’ve seen the way you feed them and I think it’s great! What would you recommend for a husky with glaucoma in one eye? Her left eye seems to be good. But doctors always say: oh this is a health problem very common for huskies. To be honest I want to dig deeper and feed her with the best possible options. I don’t want her to end up blind, she’s just 2. Thank you.

Charles Moore I’m sorry to read you’re going through this situation. It’s not easy to get this diagnosis. Tidus is doing amazing today! We’re hiking many mountainous miles, just like before. We’re so glad we didn’t go the invasive surgery route. With surgery, you’re pretty much guaranteed the other knee will blow within a year. This subject is pretty big (we did a lot of research and learning) and because we feel every dog parent has the right to know every detail on this subject, we wrote a blog detailing every step and included, studies, references, and everything we did for Tidus. We were under the impression that not doing the surgery gives us about a 50% chance of needing surgery on the other leg ?
Our situation includes the fact that our baby is an 11 year old 95 pound Dobie mix. He is in good health but is about at a normal life expectancy already. They usually live 11-12 years. Awful this happened at this stage... but we want the best for him until his last day.
