peak clickbait title, nothing to talk about in NIKKE today still gotta pay for the waifus tho so video about concord live every day: www.twitch.tv/sefhi_922
The problem is the $40 dollar price tag. Its too similar to other games like overwatch that are free and even marvel rivals that is releasing soon. The reason its not like helldivers is because helldivers is unique in the triple a gaming space and offers single player content. Concord doesnt have unique gameplay and as far as i know doesnt have a single player experience so its much harder to convince your friends to download this game for $40 when another game does it for free.
Look at how the First Descendent did vs this. Glad this BS failed. Sony needs to learn that their most vocal woke critics ARE NOT the people who play their games.
I don't recall if there was a preferred price for Multiplayer games aside from "Free" - which is what a lot of people would rather oay for most things - but I would assume in the day and age when they try to push games to be $70 USD, $40 Price Tag would be something that I would consider a deal maker. Also, the Destiny comparison seems weird - aside from it being "sci-fi" - because Destiny was sold to people for Full Price when it came out, and I think Destiny 2 also had a similar price, but including the DLC, game is even more pricy, so price isn't an excuse. I think I recall Battleborn had a similar excuse, but it's main issue was that it came out right before Overwatch was released, and a lot of Hero Shooters were being compared to it, so despite having a decent price, they were forced to go F2P, but unfortunately, they had to shut down their servers not long after. This game barely has any of the personality/aesthetic that Battleborn has, tbh. As an added bonus, if the game was actually worth playing, people would pay anything for it. People are willing to throw money at F2P Gachas both because of FOMO, but mainly because they actually like the game enough that they are willing to spend money on it. If that wasnt the case, people wouldn't be investing in say skins for Nikke.
I love fan service in some of my games, I play Nikke after all, but whenever I see people start to go down this rabbit hole, it tells me their contente not worth my time. If you're skipping games because the characters aren't attractive enough for you, you're already lost.
I disagree, because it tells us something about the development. Money went to consultant firms, a lot of it. With consultant firms there, we also know the games story will need to be "safe" no controversial or thought provoking topics can be broached. Further more, if you look at the capcom gamer poll asking 260 000 gamers what is important for them, 150 000 answered good gameplay, second place was aesthetically pleasing characters. They don't need to be sexy, but they need to look cool or interesting.
@Yattayatta There is obviously great gameplay in games like Horizon and Last of Us 2, among a ton of other games that have gotten a ton of pushback from players. Most of that pushback is a criticism of characters being attractive or "woke." I don't even like those games, and I have no interest in playing Concord. That being said, the character designs aren't uninteresting or bad. Not all of them, and not objectively. Many people might not like the looks of these characters, but characters' designs of equal interest/beauty have done perfectly fine before. Only in the age of making every little thing a culture war have people gotten so obsessed with the character models. If a game is good, it's good. If it's bad, it's bad. But people look for any opportunity they can to say a game is bad because of wokeness, and that's just silly. There's a disconnect from reality often, as if there are two teams. It's not like plenty of "woke" people don't get excited by fan service. Those games are still there.
@@noctairedorvoxin0 Let me pose you with a counter question, point me to a western AAA game from the last 3 years with a very attractive female lead. There are 2 reasons why people dislike games with ugly character designs. 1. Doesn't matter if you are beautiful or ugly in real life, most people prefer to represent themselves as attractive if given the chance. 2. Males are mostly visual, if you are tasked with rescuing a cute princess, that's enough story for you. Females need a lot more story to form attraction, but that is very hard to represent in a very quick manner. 3. We have things like the XboX memmo where they specifically told game developers: Microsoft Recommends Game Developers Question If Female Characters Wear Proper Clothing And If Games Are “Reinforcing Any Negative Gender Stereotypes” and Are your female characters equipped with clothing and armor that fits their tasks? Do they have exaggerated body proportions? That is sexism, XboX specifically doesn't want curvy women, but a guy that is 2 fridges wide, wearing only a loin cloth? Sure, go right ahead! People are tired of this, we don't want sexism, we want hot guys and hot girls.
@Yattayatta Well let me start by saying again.. I play Nikke and Stellar Blade so I'm down with fan service, but I'm also in the real world and find real people attractive and also probably have a different range of characteristic I find appealing, so how do we define attractive in a way that we will both be okay with? I just think it might be hard to answer your question if you don't think my opinion on attraction are valid.
@Yattayatta I also want to say that I literally don't give a shit what companies are discussing if I enjoy the game. I'm more concerned about the egregious monetization and terrible practices that go on in their studios than their discussions on what they want to deliver and find inappropriate vs. appropriate content wise.
Azur Lane too. Nikke had the right idea but dropped the ball on where people wanted it to be - due to (presumably) used 2 or 3 L2D engines which makes them recompile and decompile the characters 3 times to work. Then the L2D standard gets compared to games like Azur Lane or even GFL because they respond to touch, have proper parallax, while Azur Lane customs shipgirl editable interactions for some L2D skin... ... while Nikke barely put expression changes on the character lobby screen.
You didn't even complain about the supposed "woke" parts of it like the pronouns. You just complained that the design is not for you. Look, I personally don't like the aesthetic as well but you can just skip the game and move on. Anti-woke crowd surprisingly obsess more about pronouns than those that use them smh. It's actually refreshing to see characters that are not exactly waifu/husbando in games. Triangle Strategy did this with so many characters including a grandpa/grandma. I appreciated your SOC content but this video is pathetic.
I cringe every time someone use the word "woke". The thing I dont understand is, why players thinks that every game has to have wifus or husbandos. You are not the target of the game, and not all video games have to satisfy your needs. Like you said, you dont like a game? Just move on and who cares its useless creating drama. Look at gacha community. They are toxic af but they are right when they say "a game for everyone is a game for no one". Check the target of the game and stop being a turist. But no, better to complain h24 for a game that they probably will never play anyway lol.
Obviously, nobody was the target for this game with that Co-19 social distancing ass player base. In short, most players disagree with u @onlypain6330

I respect the hustle. Since you are talking about Concord, should look up Fleekazoids video about this game. Absolutely hilarious.
This video already has as many views as concord players.

Game has more pronouns than players lmao

Imagine if it was a gacha, I think I'd prefer pulling a dude than those women designs lol
Since when did NIKKE's fanservice ever flopped? Your title's wording is misleading.
Glad to see you break down what's happening with this game! Caught me up to speed at least. Not a fan of the anti-woke memes, but it is what it is😭
did nikkes fanservice flopped or something?
Nikke has bad fan service compared to other Gotcha.
Brown dust 2 puts Nikke to shame

From Old Wild West to New Woke West
western uglification at its finest

The irony of this comment is pretty amusing.🙄
Guess refreshing don't get people to buy games.
"It's actually refreshing to see characters that are not exactly waifu/husbando in games" i am 100% sure that majority of gamer are disagree with you
