Excellent video and points you've brought up throughout the video. As someone who's new to shavettes myself I was able to relate to this video very much. I currently have the Feather SR folder and Kamisori. Along with the Feather DX I just picked up. I've found it's easiest going down to use the left hand on the left side and the right hand on the right side. Going up the opposite... right hand left side and left hand right side. Also the folder is more maneuverable for me on my face. The Kamisori is awkward in spots and impossible for me get my neck properly on my right side being left handed. I do like the Kamisori for shaving my head though. I've been looking at the Weck and the blades. I'm curious if they are thicker than the AC blades. But, I personally love my Feather AC shavettes. Love the Ominbus base too. It's excellent!
I have the same issues with switching hands and getting to those weird angles going with the grain diagonally up toward my ears. I feel like a non-smoker holding a cigarette. It just doesn't look the same as someone who is a regular smoker! I'm glad you filmed this because people who do it all the time might not understand the difficulty of some of the unnatural angles and how to get around the curves of the jaw. I'm going to keep trying at least one easy pass with a straight/shavette per day before switching to a DE, then maybe taking my time on weekends being more thorough. I just think that the more comfortable it gets doing the 75% easier stuff the better I'll be when I spend more time around my mouth and chin which is where I struggle most. How is the Sally AC compared to the IBC? I'm most comfortable with the IBC so far because I can go lighter. I've never tried a Feather style shavette though.
The shave it probably better from the IBC, but the polished finish and lack of jimping makes it slippery to hold sometimes. The Sally's razor has a Matte finish and some bumps on the top where your fingers go that make it easier to hold...but the scales on it are huge and get in the way. I've considered taking the scales off and making it a kamisori type lol

The hairshaper blades are definitely thicker, they also have a spine kind of like a gem blade. Thanks for tuning in and for the pointers!
Nicely shaved. Those Wecks can be nick machines.

The Feather shavettes are excellent! I definitely recommend them.
