    If Fousey ate his chipotle you wouldn't need to charge the battery.

    Wouldn't a Gates Carbon Drive make the Stromer ST2S even better?

    • @nycewheels
      @nycewheels  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Stephen Bieda It would be cool, but gates belt drives only work with internal geared or single speed bikes. Therefor it would have to be a single speed to work since the bike has a hub motor. The Di2 shifting on this bike feels amazing though. - Connor

      @StephenBieda 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +NYCeWheels Yes I understand the mid drive versus hub drive difference but which is better? Kalkhoff Integrale S11 or Stromer ST2S?

    • @nycewheels
      @nycewheels  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Stephen Bieda The ST2 S definitely outperforms in power, range, and the cellphone app integration is like nothing else on the market right now.

      +NYCeWheels Which is quieter, Stromer ST2S or Kalkhoff Integrale S11?

    • @nycewheels
      @nycewheels  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't speak for the Kalkhoff, but the ST2S has an extremely quiet motor.

    Why can't they run the electronic groupset on the e bike battery?

    • @nycewheels
      @nycewheels  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shimano doesn't offer integration with any electric bike systems other than their own.

    10k $ and it don't have a suspension ?

    • @nycewheels
      @nycewheels  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's meant mostly for road use, but doesn't need suspension because the carbon fork and continental tires absorb a lot of shock.

    • @hamzazoaoui
      @hamzazoaoui 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I understand, but for long distances rides i'm sure a suspension would make a difference in terms of comfort .especial 120 miles that the bike can do.

    • @hamzazoaoui
      @hamzazoaoui 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Beside that the bike is awesome nothin to complain about But the price haha. Good work ;)

      No suspension is always better for road surfaces? That's not always true except for the rare time one wants to do all out hard pedaling (racing). But you don't need to that much hard pedaling as this is a powerful electric commuter bike. Most higher end bike suspensions provide lock-out capability anyways just in case the rider wants to go all out pedaling.
      On ground vehicles, suspension's primary purpose is to allow better traction of the wheels on the road's surface so it doesn't bounce around bumps like a kid's go kart. Secondary effect is suspension gives a comfortable smooth experience for the rider. Both improve general riding.
      At $10,000, Stromer should have at least included a Thudbuster or Cirrus Body Float seat post or something similar in capability. The Stromer should ride like a smooth luxury Mercedes given its weight and cost. Not sure what Stromer is thinking by not providing any suspension. The only thing I can imagine is reduced weight with suspension but I doubt it would have affected such an already heavy bike with a large battery.

      @handsomened111 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It absolutely needs front end suspension. I have a Stromer, and believe me, if you hit even a smaller pot hole at 45k an hour (28m/ph) your vertebrae will be complaining LOUD.

    What about shock absorbers? Is there any E-bike with shockups? @nycewheels

    • @nycewheels

      This bike is focused on speed and road performance, so it is equipped with a carbon fork.

    I can't seem to find the information online anywhere, so I was wondering if you guys could do a video on the laws for kick scooters? I've checked every government website and scooter blog but none of them are recent and I want to know what my rights are as a kick scooter rider--specifically if I'm allowed to ride on the sidewalk, in the bike lane, etc. Thanks!

    • @nycewheels
      @nycewheels  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Samantha Walker We're not aware of any laws for kick scooters. I've ridden scooters both on sidewalks and in bike lanes with no trouble. Kick scooters can pretty much ride anywhere as long as you're not being reckless. - Connor

    • @NWforager
      @NWforager 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Samantha Walker for an unpowered kick scooter i think they are allowed on sidewalks . I've read that bike tires 20 inch and under are sidewalk worthy but law may have been updated since then . For powered bikes/scooters check this wiki . its pretty informative ,world wide and up to date en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_bicycle_laws

    super awesome review right there . I was just saying how Cort might do well to have a drone and you guys got one =) . Its often hard to portray inclines and speed from an onboard camera and a drone solves that cheaply i think . BTW Welcome Connor

    2019* Love the bike, just dont need all the expensive features it has to offer. I believe Juiced Bikes has the largest battery pack now? (52v 19.2ah)

    • @MarvFitBikesKicks
      @MarvFitBikesKicks 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      NYCeWheels ignorance? Where is the $10,000 justified? Look at what specialized and Raleigh offer, both well established companies offering beautiful aesthetics and high range bikes for a quarter to half the price of this. And whatever components the stromer offers that the Raleigh and specialized bikes don't have can easily be purchased for much less. Fool

    • @nycewheels
      @nycewheels  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure, other bikes are cheaper because they don't offer nearly as much. None of those bikes have remote tracking, locking, and app functionality. None of those bikes have batteries any larger than half the size of this bike's battery (lithium ion is not cheap), and the performance of this motor is not like any other hub motor on the market. Not to mention Shimano Di2 and this brake system are very expensive components. There are regular road bikes that are priced higher than this, so 10k for everything that's on this bike is very reasonable and there are many of them out on the roads. But hey what do we know, we only do this for a living :)

    • @MarvFitBikesKicks
      @MarvFitBikesKicks 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      NYCeWheels the giant quick e+ is another gem. Idk I just don't see how if giant, specialized or Raleigh were to add any of those components to their bikes it would spike the price up an additional $7,000
