Love your videos man. You give me great ideas for my own videos and editing. I know people can get all worked up about stuff but in the end we all love trying new plastic and hearing what other people think so I’m here for it.
Gotta give those beaded Penrose putters a try (in medium plastic!!!)! Who DOESN"T love the Berg?? Love the Oreo cookie DD3 (wish I could throw one). And big kudos for bagging a Time Lapse to start the year!!! Awesome bag and video, thanks Andrew!
Thanks man! Im thinking ill either go firm penroses or try out some PA-3's
My favorite disc is the mold that I’ve bagged for the longest - the KC Pro Roc. It’s such a versatile disc for me. Keep up the great work on the channel - and have a happy holiday season 👍
Seems like the roc is a sleepy classic of old! Never thrown a Roc before, only a roc 3, but man there are people out there who love those things! one of these days ill have to see what the hype is about. Thanks man! Happy holidays to you too
I keep 3 KC pro Rocs of varying stability... they are great for mid and short distance hyzer flips and almost any sort of up shot.
I would have to say my favorite disc is my big Z buzzz which was actually the first disc I ever bought outside of a starter set. Though a close second would have to be my Ricky champion t-bird 3 but alas he went into the water 🫡 nice in the bag! Hope you have an awesome holiday season and keep up the great work with the videos!
Such a great shout. It feels wrong not having the buzzz in the bag.... I have an ESP one that is seasoned to perfection. Will see how long that hex lasts in the new year. Thanks man have a great holiday season to you as well!
My favorite mold is the MVP Inertia! I play a lot of woods courses and my disc is seriously dead straight when put on hyzer. The fade is minimal compared to its numbers. Liking your approach to the in the bag. Thanks for the content and Merry Christmas!
Interesting, I've never thrown an Inertia, but I do love dead straight discs! Merry Christmas to you as well
@@AndrewWoodDiscGolf Did you end up finding home for that beautiful Falk?
My favorite disc in my bag is the Prodigy F3 at the moment. I found a used one at my local shop and it’s so money super cool shot shapes!
F3 or F4 are definitely on my "to try" list of discs. I havent thrown that much prodigy honestly. But am thinking of trying out PA-3's for putting as well
My favorite mold is the Teebird3. I throw it in Gstar for dead straight (FD style shots) and Metal Flake champion for predictable flex and fade.
Innova metal flake plastic is so dang good for beefing up a disc. Love that about their line up
My favorite disc right now is my new detour. Feel great in the hand and has a beautiful flight.
Cant wait to try a detour out once they're released!
Really need to pick up one of these. I throw the Uplink and Hex a lot.
The Falk is unbelievable. My bomb hyzer flip controle 9spd. K1 soft in the winter is unbeatable. Usually beats out my high speed drivers.
Killer disc for sure. Its a little to flippy for me to be my longest thrower, but it sure is pretty on those long turnover lines
Discraft fly dye xtra is a gem that I throw that once it’s gone I may retire. Because I have not found a replacement
Never thrown one! Seems like a mold you dont hear to much about
Woah I have the exact same athena. I bag a different one current but I swear I have the same yellow orange center with green rim and purple galaxy stamp. That freaked me out for a second when I saw that
My favorite disc is my Fission Tesla, just the perfect 9-speed, have one i've had in the bag for over a year that can flip up and carry a looong way, and a new one that has more stability.
Teslas are so money. I've only thrown a lab second proton one, but i can imagine fission is money
Favorite disc is the Envy. It’s such a great throwing putter
Right answer! Love my envys
For me it has to be the discmania instinct! It is such a great mold I can use it for almost everything!
Work horse of a disc for sure! so versatile
Currently my favorite disc is the Thunderbird. The new halo Thunderbirds are nice and gummy while still being a little firm. Having a new and seasoned Thunderbird like disc is great for every bag.
Thats a great call. I think my Anax fills that, but It isnt quite as straighht/flippy as a really well seasoned thunderbird can get
@@AndrewWoodDiscGolf Yea my PD was also there for a similar slot but I was able to find some relatively flatter halo Thunderbirds at my local store so I’m probably just gonna bag 2 of those, one newer one broken in. I like the Anax but Discraft’s ESP plastic just doesn’t vive with my hands. Feels too slick for me.
Yea I get that. I find some ESP slick and some feels great. Not sure what thats about. This might be a hot take, but I also like the raised lettering on discraft rims. It feel more confident gripping it
Bro you’re editing and video quality is unmatched
Thanks bro! Miss getting to play with you out in HB! Was repping that WCDG gear in this one
@@AndrewWoodDiscGolf I saw! Gotta stay reppin West coast!
My berg in k1 is my main approach disc. It’s an amazing downhill putter as well🤗
Lets go with some Berg love! such a fun and great disc
FH Bergs is the the most underated thing about the disc. Laser beam dead str8
🔥 absolutely
Favorite disc: Tie between DGA Undertow and MVP Orbital
two discs ive never thrown! Ill add them to the list
Couldn’t live without my Atom by MVP super reliable straight flying throwing puttet
Better than a Proxy??
My Thunderbird is such a workhorse for me. Doesn't fly the farthest of my discs but I can place it really well when I have to put something in just the right spot.
Such a big deal to have that kind of confidence in a disc. Thunderbirds are a classic
My favorite disc rn is the infinite Roman. Super money on forehand and backhand.
Is the Roman similar to an Anax?
@@AndrewWoodDiscGolf it’s the old pd mold so yeah kinda
My favorite disc is axiom crave. I can throw it as far as some of my 7 and 8 speed disc. It has that touch of under stability and great in the woods. There are not very many 6 speed discs out there and when I need a little more distance than my Hex will get me, it’s a Crave all day!
If I didnt already love that FD, it would be a close battle between a passion and an crave for me! killer disc 100%
Ever tried an MVP Relay? I tend to like it better than my Craves.
I gotta say man, we had similar methodologies. I started playing disc golf this summer. I am a recovering addict and I got addicted to disc golf. I purchased an average of 2.5 discs a DAY for a six month period, and our bags looked almost identical. .. but then I Joined lone star to prevent myself from spending thousands of dollars more on discs I did not need, and have not looked back. now my bag is all lone star, and wizzards for putting. I just found it really interesting that we settled on 90 percent of the same molds, after I purchased over 560 discs.
I resonate with that a lot! It’s easy to fall into that hole of buying new discs just because you want them or there’s a bunch of hype. But then they sit on a shelf and rarely got thrown. Glad you found a bag that works for you!
Currently my favorite disc is the discmania origin. It’s the perfect straight to slightly understable mid for my arm.
Origin is money for sure. I think it would be that or the dune if i wanted something between my buzzz and uplink stability wise
My favorite disc I can't live without it my hades! I'm able to get so much distance out of it with no trouble.
First disc I ever broke 300ft with was a Proto Hades, has a special place in my heart for sure!
I need a new bag and I’ve really been hoping for atlas to put out more bags! Seeing yours makes me so jealous!
Those Pioneers are really great. I've heard there might be a V4 at some point, but not sure when that will be
The Atlas bag just looks cheap to me. Seems a lot of content creators use them since these guys all kind of scratch each other's back and of course Atlas bag is a Foundation Disc Golf thing. Lots of better looking bags out there in my opinion but the Atlas bag is inexpensive.
I should try the Kastaplast vass bomber 😅
Thing is probably pretty sick!
That wild honey has me intrigued for sure.
Way flippier than I expected it to be, but I love it for those shots. Effortless turnovers and the thing bombs if you dont burn it over!
I met a beaver once at Smithville lake in Missouri who used a Stal
By Kastaplast 9/4/0/3
Incorporated it into his mudslide into the lake to evade the disc golfers coming his way!
Talk about forewarn! LMAO 😆
I pulled the disc out of the mud and twigs and when I brought it home my dachshund sniffed it intently.
Almost as if he knew the beaver had come in contact with it
I love life.
What a story! love that lol how crazy
@@AndrewWoodDiscGolf blackthorn!
My favorite disc in my bag is my mint discs lobster I feel like I can put that on a million lines.
Miss my lobster! Loved it when i had it but lost it unfortunately
Favorite Disc in my bag is probably my Mint Lobster. Easy hyzerflips or turnovers for days.
I loved my lobster until I lost it. Honestly if I didnt have the uplink it probably would be the lobser in my bag. Such a killer flight
I was wounding with the other dose that you do not use , Do you give them way or let other test them?
I promise I’m not just saying this, but the Falk is my favorite disc… it just zooms through the air forever.
P.S. my bag looks a lot like yours . I’m gonna try the buzzz os bc I bag the buzzz and buzzz ss.
Love that! Its new to me but I'm really enjoying it so far. Buzzz Os is great, especially on forehands. I am really interested to try out the Birdie Supply Ultra though, everyone says its a better Buzzz OS in some ways
The buzzz os is awesome but shorter than the other buzzz’s. It’s like a longer zone which is awesome 🤗
Longer Zone is a great way to describe it
WCDG! shout out to the Spohr's!
Currently my favorite disc is my champion mako3
Great choice!
Currently my favorite disc is between my Toro and my Gyropalooza Hex, both incredibly good to me
Still yet to throw a Toro, still really need to throw a toro!
@@AndrewWoodDiscGolf it’s a fantastic disc!
Better than a Zone though?
I’m currently having that debate internally, lol. Obviously many more plastic options in the zone but the Toro is new in my bag so it is definitely providing some excitement and fun
@@omarlopez3890 sometimes its nice to switch things up just for the sake of variety! If it keeps the game interesting and fun thats good enough reason
those archives feel like shit you're really tryna make urself like that thing cause he won huh hahahah
😂 hot take. Cant say I agree, I like how they feel and fly. But to each their own my friend
I just find this so damn stupid... "I've tested hundreds of discs". Every year we see the top pro's move from one manufacturer to another and guess what, those pro's continued to play well. It may've taken them a few months to get used to the new plastic but eventually they all got it. So the idea that there is some magical plastic out there is just absurd. A lot of people just like to collect plastic... and leave it at that.
The title is a touch click baity, I’ll give you that. But it is factually correct. I have thrown and reviewed hundreds of different discs, and the ones in my bag are there because they were my personal favorites. At no point do I make any claims that they’re “the best” “magic” “the only good discs” etc. You inferred those things. But ultimately that’s the point of title and thumbnailing… to get people to have a reaction and click.
I'm a firm believer in NOT having so many discs . Look to old older pros, they had 25-30 discs but only 6 molds in the bag, and it turns out a beat in disc Flys different. So I say throw less molds just more variations of them. Most people I see with fewer molds play better more consistently.
If you feel that way then don't watch it. We are not pros. We do and need different things for our game.
I do think theres generally some wisdom to that, and I could for sure slim down my bag more, but I've also found that the better you are the less molds you need, because you have better angle control and can get more lines out of fewer discs. Having a lot of molds helps ams who have less angle control throw more lines. Does that make sense?
@@AndrewWoodDiscGolf Actually is does not make sense... why? Because it is more difficult to memorize the lines of more disc molds than less... especially of you are not a Pro. A Pro is a special individual that gets it... someone that despite moving to a different manufacturer was able to stay on top. A regular Joe or Jane... while capable, and may have pro potential, may not on average have the capability to throw a bunch of different molds effectively. And that all said, the Pro's, they try to keep their bag simple... so they themselves don't have to 2nd guess which plastic to throw.
