@@chrislao180 The only thing it really needs is the old Crafting Bench imo. It's really weird to me how everybody's adopted this whole 'wisdom scroll with extra steps' line word for word, and also weird how this has always been the case. Even Alteration orbs and Scouring orbs were just wisdom scrolls with extra steps, people are just complaining that they have to actually go out and find their bases more now rather than toss a hundred Alts at something until they're satisfied, which is effectively the same thing as IDing a hundred blue bases. This has Always been how crafting was in PoE; people forget this, but the core components of PoE's crafting are all pure RNG; it's _League_ mechanics that introduced 'legitimate' deterministic crafting to the game. We don't really _have_ Leagues yet, so it's hardly surprising that in its base form, the crafting in the game feels so random. Omens and High Essences could be considerably more common perhaps, but fundamentally speaking, the problem people are having with crafting in PoE2, whether they're willing to admit it or not, is that it's two weeks old and doesn't have ten years' worth of leagues to exploit the mechanics of to craft GG gear on league start.
@@MirroredDreamscape spamming gum currency is already a big change compared to insta bricked items. But I agree this game needs the crafting bench asap.
I've been thinking about all the stuff missing from the drop pool... it's not only the other weapon types, many shields and weapons with skills (such as wands) are missing too. I wonder how the game will feel with a gear loot table that is going to be so diluted.
RE: Towers What if towers range they revealed scales with the tier of the map you run on them? This would incentivize running higher tiers and make running them more worthwhile because you would reveal much larger swatches of the map
Re: Convocation I think they wanted to solve the minion ai issue by giving you the ability to command minions rather than giving you a teleport skill. Fix minions body blocking each other and that key would be a fine enough solution.

Gauntlet rooms in trials would be nicer if they were trap only instead of traps and monsters. Playing that room as a warrior is a little rough. Playing that room co-op with a minion friend is aids.

Bad layouts are not a minion issue. Even on my deadeye with tailwind, every move speed node, movement speed gems, and wasting my weapon swap on blink with cooldown recovery shield and nodes, a majority of the layouts feel terrible.
I definitely disagree with Ventrua about the end game being in a good state atm, and I think there will be some numerical tweaking there. There's a lot of fun there, but also a lot of frustration. The amount of grind you need currently to generate bosses other than the breach and exped boss is pretty nuts, and all of the juicing mechanics are locked behind these boss grinds (which I also think is pretty bad, mapping itself should give some mechanic juicing points). The regrind from map tier 1 to 10 is going to feel pretty bad if nothing is changed there, since every progression mechanic other than the main atlas tree is so backloaded. Citadels also can't be as absurdly rng as they are now. I also think they will have to add some qol regarding being able to search the atlas, once you've done a lot of maps, scrolling through it becomes pretty untenable.
My first greater essence was in act 1 in my first playthrough, I used it and had a very different expectation of it's rarity as a result. Have not received another yet.
First I feel like the Monk side of the Skill Tree is incredible. There are lots of different way I can go with the build. But if you know what your build needs & have an idea of the best way to do that - you are not going to feel like oh, i'm missing out! You have to make a value judgement & go with it. I have not explored the rest of the tree as much but I think this is a huge upgrade over POE where you picked the same nodes for any character in that area of it.
Game is way to trading focused. It won't last on the market unless they make substantial buffs to loot or create a SSF mode with 3,000% buffs to all loot drops
The comment is not without merit, just exaggerated. The game is too trade focused. I want to find/craft my gear, not navigate to a website, and pay for it. Currently, you have to no-life the game if you don't want to trade, and that is bad design to have one that is obviously better than the other. Last Epoch is trying something for non-traders. It's not perfect, but at least you have an opportunity for advancement without giving up your marriage and firstborn child.
Agreed. This is, for all intents and purposes, a single player game balanced around trading with other players. And that’s real dumb. Hell I wish they had an offline mode, when I die in maps it’s always because of desync and nothing else.
The ground loot is not even close to viable. farm hundreds of t16s WITH 100% rarity on gear, identifying ever rare that drops and you MIGHT find ONE thats useful. And theres probably a 90% chance that its not usable by you. I farm to progress my own character, not to supply traders to flip items.
I haven't played endgame yet but I agree on principle!
