    Monique, I was so excited when I saw you in a commercial today while I was scrolling through Facebook while on my lunch break at work!!! You were AWESOME! I started watching your channel about a year (maybe longer, but at least) ago when I started to let my hair go to its natural grey and I was searching online for styles. You're so beautiful and funny, and such an inspiration. Thank you for your posts and congrats on a great commercial!

    Wow! That really worked nicely!! I've used Shimmering Lights purple shampoo for years to pull out any brass that appears between colors. It works ok, but it doesn't smell very pretty, and because it's a shampoo, you don't have very good control of where you place the toner. I'm going to look into this stuff for my hair! Thanks for the info!! Have a wonderful evening!

    Wow. Big difference. I hadn't even noticed the yellow in your hair until I saw the side by side. My mother is a blonde, and her hair used to get so discolored by our well water. The only way she could get rid of it was to go to the salon and have them run permanent solution through it. Justvthe solution...no curls.
    Aren't you glad you don't have to do that? Haha! That was a long time ago. Very harsh.
    Hair looks great!

    Oh wow, Monique... I am SO GLAD you posted this. I've been looking for a good violet toner for my blonde hair, and most everything nowadays requires developer. Even though it's only 10 volume, still, I don't want to do that since I already color my hair. I used to love Clairol's Born Blonde liquid toner, which required no developer, but they discontinued that several years ago. I am going to order this right now, using your link of course. :)

    Hi Monique. I'm 54 and recently decided to go gray. Actually I'm trying to go white for a little while and then eventually transition to gray. Thanks for all these videos, btw, they're awesome! So about 2 weeks ago I bleached my hair (dark brown). Before bleaching I used coconut oil to protect my hair, but since I did the bleaching my hair just doesn't feel or look healthy. It looks very dry. I never totally got all the yellow tones out, and I haven't wanted to do much more to it because I'm trying to get it to feel healthy again. I don't believe it's damaged, I think it's just very dry. I've been putting organic coconut oil on it, but I noticed that it starts turning it a dark gray. I washed it with the purple shampoo and got it mostly white again and began to use Keratin oil mist and it turned my hair yellow. I have washed it again since, and now I have it mostly whitish silver gray, but I'm afraid to put anything on it. I cut it short, and it does feel healthier, but is there anything you can recommend to get it to start feeling naturally soft and shiny again without turning it a different color? Also, can I just use regular shampoo and conditioner in between using the purple shampoo, if so, what would you recommend? Thanks so much for any feedback.

    Monique, I have a question for you if you can answer it from your own experience. Did you bleach your natural grey hair BEFORE you put on any toner? Or did you just apply the 10v directly on your grey hair and that was the result on video? It is an important question for me. TIA!

    My hair color is naturally grey/white on top & sides, with black/brown undertones all over the back. I'm 86 - hair is thinning on top. I love the 10V you used. Your hair color before using 10V looked similar to mine. I love how it brightened your face and eyes - lovely. Would you suggest same color? Thanks so much!

    My Nanny turned grey in her twenties, and she coloured her hair herself until she was well in her late eighties. Sometimes she was brunette, blonde, pink, lavender....whatever she found at the store in a box! When she finally let her hair grow out naturally , she had the most beautiful white, silvery hair! What makes grey hair start to look yellowish? Is it from shampoo or styling products? This product made quite a difference in your hair! It looks fabulous, missie! Hope you are having an awesome Sunday with the fella! Love, and hugs, Monique, Sherrey.💟💞💟

    • @mjsimm
      @mjsimm ปีที่แล้ว

      Yellow tones are usually caused by either your natural hair when going gray, using high lift colour, 20 Vol developer when trying to lift more than two levels with permanent colour. Also definitely bleaching and not processing long enough. It can take more than one application of bleach to get the lift needed. Then a toner to bring the hair to a cooler tone. Yellow and violet are opposite on the colour wheel so the neutralize each other. Also using hot irons on delicate lifted hair without a heat protector product, also stay out a chlorine pool when you have highly lifted hair or you will definitely end up with green on the bleached parts. A swim cap it the answer to protect from that.

I bought some bleach but haven’t plucked up the courage to do yet... some days I just want to go in the bathroom and chop my hair off to an inch all over, then I could grow out the brown completely. The thing I find out with toners you don’t need to use as much as they say like once a week it lasts for awhile under normal situations.
