  • I'm excited to have started a brand new series for Nak Muay Nation. As a Nak Muay Nation sponsored fighter I've produced a lot of technique content and this new technique vlog series gives me a chance to really talk about many of the small things I've learned from my sessions with legends and lessor known kru talents. Each week I'll give a quick one minute vlog introducing a technique, and on nakmuaynation.com I'll post a longer discussion of the technique involving how it is is used, common mistakes made when training it, and why the technique is interesting.
This is a great opportunity to talk about techniques in different way. And as a fighter who in the early going had to do a lot of my training alone, there will be emphasis on how to work by yourself on these techniques, in shadow or on the bag, for all those times you don't have a partner or a class.
So you can find my extended technique vlogs in monthly posts on nakmuaynation.com, becoming a member there. You can also ask me questions any time you like in comments here, on my page.

i saw similar technique from namsaknoi, he called it the umbrella technique. While the lead hand push through the neck the other hand pull down the opponent bicep with an umbrella like grip. Yeah its a rare technique outside of thailand

We used to use this as a set up for a single leg in wrestling. There was a Korean man who won an Olympic gold medal with the same technique.

How do you prevent people from getting double underhooks in the Thai clinch?

hi I have question.. Where should we look when we fight. Like into the opponents eyes or chest where?? My master taught me to look into the opponents eyes..
