Excellent documentary, great to see the Manchester scene some 21 years ago.

When the second part starts the background music is 'B-Line' by the Rap Assassins (produced by a Guy Called Gerald), from the Killer Album.

Well said. Didn’t know it was produced by Gerald. I wore my tape album out. I wish I still had the Justice Just Us T-shirt still. It’s like Christmas Day for me finding this documentary and channel. The Assassins and BUZZB were my favourite growing up in Bury. It was great hearing our own accent and subjects. Unfortunately they were 30 years ahead of their time. Only now is rapping in our accents accepted . Cheers for the upload .

RUTHLESS RAP ASSASSINS are probably the closest the UK came to PUBLIC ENEMY. Shame they only did 2 albums.

@@jahnayDmusic What do they think about today's UK rap and grime?

@@jahnayDmusic they were and still are heroes of mine. I was 16 in 90 at Bury college. It was great having people rap in your own accent. They must have known they would have got more commercial success if they had adopted an American accent. Like Derick B did in London. He was in the Charts. But the RRA are artists who didn’t compromise. Pioneering the UK scene. Killer was amazing. Just us and it wasn’t a dream. My dad tells me stories of how they had to physically fight people because grandparents came from Ireland. I’m chuffed I can message their. Offspring. I was in Hulme park a few years back with friends 2015. Drunk and rapping their lyrics and Buzzbees. This is kid says that’s my dads song. I think one day if it’s researched properly . The assassins will get the recognition deserved. I hope this doesn’t sound to weird.
