In 2020, I went to a Macy's store and I got to sample some fragrances while I was there. The person who was helping me sprayed Burberry "Touch" for Men on my arm and, initially, I didn't think very highly of it. However, on my way home, I kept smelling the Burberry on my arm and I decided that I need to add that fragrance to my collection. It's one of the inexpensive versatile fragrances I have in my collection.
I actually didn’t know much about the difference between violet and violet leaf. I will have to smell and/or sample some of your suggestions. The Narciso R sounds amazing ❤ and I do adore violet fragrances that are feminine leaning for myself. I have Guerlain Insolence and Meteorites, as well as DG The Only One which has a fair amount of violet on top of the coffee notes, which smells wonderful IMO. 😊
Violet leaves are such a unique note. I became very familiarized with the note early in my journey when smelling Narciso Rodriguez For him, Lalique Hommage, Burberry Touch and of course Fahrenheit. Great list!
In my collection, Hommage a L'homme by Lalique is THE violet bomb. My holy grail of violet fragrances. It seems that more than a few of these violet leaf heavy scents are known to give a "melancholy" vibe. A Fragrantica article explored the melancholy vibe Burberry Touch for Men, for example. And I have yet to try Narciso Rodriguez For Him but that is sometimes described as melancholy (or sometimes "urban rain").
Amouage Portryal Man is slept on so much. This thing is not for everyone and kudos to AMouage for releasing a 80's powerhouse type smell in 2019 ! This thing is VERY strong.
From this list I own and enjoy: Dior "Fahrenheit Le Parfum", "Narciso Rodriguez for Him EDT", and Burberry "Touch" for Men. Also, I own Geoffrey Beene "Grey Flannel" and "Paul Smith Men" but I'm still not familiar enough with them.
Some incredible violet leaf inspired fragrances there to check out. The By Killian does catch my attention, a quality aromatic scent to lift the mood with a touch of luxury. Portrayal Man has some impressive notes to complement the Violet. 8 and Bob and Bentley also sound worth a look 👍🏻. Paul Smith was a great fragrance back in the day
Man OG, when I first smelt Dior Fahrenheit (EDT), it was at Macys and it was completely on accident. I know this fragrance has been out since 1988, but this is a BANGER. Still have not got around to purchasing it yet, but glad it is on this list!!!! Another one I might review on my channel.
Mercedes Benz edt and Mercedes Benz Intense are Fahrenheit inspiratio ns that are more modernized. I have intense and its amazing. Watery violet is amazing
As I understood it will possible to meet you at jovoy march 16th around 1 pm? Such an honor as I am following you on yt since 2012 Looking forward to this
Nishane EGE is similar to what? Cos I don't like the fishy/eggy aspect of light blue intense for example or acqua atlantique. How is Ege ? Is more like Torino 21 or?
Personally, I prefer Violet flowers. But I do remember loving the original Fahrenheit, gifted it to my brother for one of his birthdays in the early 1990s.
Ooooo Hommage a L'homme for the spring! This is definitely the time for violet leaf fragrances! Great timing Sebastian. Shame Atelier Cologne pulled out of the west because Trefle Pur would be up there for me.
You're gonna laugh but Victoria's Secret Bare is probably the only fragrance I really enjoy that has violet. It smells good for an easy everyday dumb reach
You say Ege was marine ans fishy - oh how I can't wait for you trying the new Kilian Blue Moon, I've read some official review on fragrantice that's for my hyped up for the drama incoming :D
I’m just curious why you don’t mention any Byredo perfumes because I remember you mentioning violet leaves being a defining characteristic of their olfactory DNA? Great video of course, your knowledge is very inspiring.🌹
That's a daring one! I like violet dominant frags, but The Mechanic was a scrubber for me unfortunately. Tycoon and Writer are excellent from the St Giles house.
This totally doesn't matter, but I thought you might like to know that the plant that you're using images of in the video is an African violet (genus Streptocarpus), which is totally scentless and completely unrelated to the common violet (genus Viola) which is the one used in perfumery!

Probably my favorite note! Fahrenheit, Rodriguez For Him and Green Irish Tweed are fragrances that I will always love. Cheers!
I really enjoy both, but more so violet flowers. I think Molinard's Violette is my perfect nostalgic recreation of the violet candies I ate as a kid.
My husband loves grey flannel and fahrenheit. Great video Sebastian.

I definitely want to buy some violet leaf and flower fragrance oil to try in perfume making.
The discontinued and hard to find Balenciaga L'essence is a stunning violet leaf fragrance. It's one of my signatures! Thank you!
I just received your scent club package. Wow!!! Your taste is impeccable. I love them all. Thank you for doing this
Just discovered Grey Flannel it’s sooo green. I love it.
Awesome.

Oh yes the Narciso. I better hurry up and buy a bottle before it disappears for good.
Underrated note. 2 of my favorite violet leaves 🍃 fragrances are La Perla Signature and Bond No. 9 Astro Place.
Just in time! My favourite violet at the moment is Junoon Noir by Al Harmain- dupe for Dama Bianca/ Xerjoff :)
In my collection, Hommage a L'homme by Lalique is THE violet bomb. My holy grail of violet fragrances.

Great news ! I will try to come and see you in Paris Sebastian ! 😀

Paul Smith was a great fragrance back in the day
👍😃 i swapped to Thus is Him for Hommage and love it. Great recommendation!
I love my Lalique Homage L'Homme. Fantastic scent. Can't wait to start wearing it once it warms up here in Yorkshire 👍👍

After the Flood by the recently revived Apoteker is exquisite
Please....I'm desperately looking for Mugler's Womanity dupe. My wife is obsessed, me too. Fantastic video, thanks.
Bleeker Street from Bond No 9 is my favourite Violet Leaf
Great Great Video Sebastian Make Video About Bodiecia the Victorious Fragrances
I recall you mentioning way back Zegna Uomo. It’s a cheapie with a really nice violet note.
Great video with some great choices in there and I enjoyed it and have a blessed night
Merchant of Venice le fenice is an excellent violet leaf scent
As I understood it will possible to meet you at jovoy march 16th around 1 pm?

I hope to get a bottle of Lalique "Hommage A L'Homme" before it's too late.
I like both violet and violet leaves
YSL's Tuxedo has to be on this list. One of the best designer fragrances with violet leaf note.
Ooooo Hommage a L'homme for the spring! This is definitely the time for violet leaf fragrances! Great timing Sebastian. Shame Atelier Cologne pulled out of the west because Trefle Pur would be up there for me.
Atelier Cologne is still available in Europe and not only online.
My favourite Mugler perfume, Over the Musk perfume has been discontinued, do you know of anything similar? 🥰
I have Metal Rain from Banana Republic. Unisex 💕
I love Narciso Rodriguez for him. Unfortunately it has been discontinued and it's very hard to get a bottle now. What a shame.
The only fragrance thus far I can really stomach violet is oud satin mood if it’s too prominent It’s a miss!
You're gonna laugh but Victoria's Secret Bare is probably the only fragrance I really enjoy that has violet. It smells good for an easy everyday dumb reach
Oceania by Roja Parfums has that really powdery touch in the dry down, would that be from the violets?
I prefer violet 🌹
Been trying to find a bottle of Narcisco Rodriguez For Him. No luck
I wish I could be in Paris at that time.
Also Choco violet by Mancera 😊
I'd like to hear your thoughts on YSL Grain de Poudre
You say Ege was marine ans fishy - oh how I can't wait for you trying the new Kilian Blue Moon, I've read some official review on fragrantice that's for my hyped up for the drama incoming :D
Yessirr 👍🏽
Ege gives off a green vegetal vibe to me. I don't like it at all. Green Irish tweed however I'm fine with.
One of my favourite violet flower/leaf is discontinued 💔 Stephen Jones X Comme des Garçons.
I smelled a decent of Fahrenheit le parfum and I loved it. Got a bottle and now it’s too powdery for me lol
Oh no!
I’m just curious why you don’t mention any Byredo perfumes because I remember you mentioning violet leaves being a defining characteristic of their olfactory DNA? Great video of course, your knowledge is very inspiring.🌹
I left them off. But there are a few there I know. Just not a 100% certain they are violet leaves. I know violet is mentioned !:)
Can you do a female list.?
b683 extrait is a masterpiece
You forgot the best violet leaf frag... Grain de poudre YSL
Have you heard about the mechanic from st giles?
That's a daring one! I like violet dominant frags, but The Mechanic was a scrubber for me unfortunately. Tycoon and Writer are excellent from the St Giles house.

Good to know
Hommage a L'Homme is discontinued unfortunately. Welp, I guess it's time to treasure that bottle and never use it 😭😭😭
❤💯❤💯❤💯
