The Pheasant Tail seems to have been a staple fly pattern from the dawn of time. In this fly tying tutorial Cheech ties one of his favorite variations, Blacked Out. This is a great variation for The winter months!

Does, comment as well suffice?
Jus jokin I love all your fly tying tutorials, they help me tie crappi jigs so much better
That’s the same pheasant tail I’ve been tying for 50+ years. It’s amazing that pheasant tails in multiple sizes still work great. Along with hares ear and little black stones we have the most effective nymphs that still work. As far as brig goes, I guess he will learn. Right now he’s at the age he knows everything. But as we know he needs to live and learn
Would look even better with a matte black bead
Great Video, Awesome Fly,
I like Black Too ! Looks real good with peacock showing 🤙
Great fly I usually tie it with a silver rib or sometimes red ! Works brilliant
Love your videos
good job briggs! keep em in line
Looks like a great fly. Really enjoy all your videos. Especially like how you add material list and link them to your store. Makes it so much easier to find items.
Great pattern haven't tied those for some time. I think I'll try a few. Thanks Cheech.
I'm commenting for Brig. BTW as always nice tie.
A very cool pattern to have in your fly box. Thanks for posting!
Like this variation of the pheasant tail.
Commenting because you told me to. :) Gonna try to tie this. Thanks for the great videos!!
Here ya go Brig!
Nice, another one for me to try. Thanks
Love a PT nymph. Oh and Brigham = Bossy
nice clean tie. This here is a workhorse fish catcher.
I like tying with out the bead, heavy hook and wire is often enough weight. Always carry a variety of pheasant tails.
Much appreciated! Video was good and explanation of steps likewise. A thought for improvement would be to throw a bit more light on the fly to see what is happening better, and/or move the camera slightly closer. Thanks!
thanks man, i wouldnt mind if you started over tying every fly yall have already done, ((idea))they would be new on the purple vise
Cool pattern...and...Brig is a bullie. 😎
I think brig has that Napoleon complex.
Nice job on the pheasant tail, tell Brig he needs to chill. lol
Can you do a video on bobbins and scissors more a 1st year rookie tier?
Good fly .
Dark variation of Sawyer's
Original . Legs ? Frank did not include them as he wanted fly to sink as fast as possible.
I like it so will tie some up .
Well tied good presentation and explanation .
Thanks 👌
Not really a sawyer due to legs but fish sure eat it.
Nice for small early stoneflies
Brig is super bossy for being someone that’s not tall enough to ride the kiddy’s roller coasters lol
Very nice.
Brig making people comment feels like working on a Sunday. Boo-urns… love this classic pattern fellas…
very nice
Comment, a man of few words.
Geez Brigz🤣🤣
At 3:06 have you thought of becoming a hand model?
Great bug
Mind ya business Brigham, mind ya business
Brig is so short you can see his feet on his driver's license.
If Brig wasn't super bossy would you guys get anything productive done? So who's fault is it?
Please tell Brigham not to boss you. It is not seemly for a youth to boss his elder.
Very simple & nice tie. I like the way to created the legs.

Love the color of your vice being a woman I like to add color what brand and where did you get it
Check out his store!
Why is Brigham so bossy?
Looks like cheech has resin stains on his fingers last couple videos 💨😶🌫️🤫
