I did think Sinner was going to be bigger than you thought, Djokovic.....I think you're underestimating the age factor. In terms of how you see Djokovic 2025, I think he'll do relatively badly.
- I appreciate your guts picking Korda - Hurkacz was a surprise, I also thought he'd hover around the 7-10 spots. Dude is talented - Ruud outperformed expectations, even though he got sick - Zverev outperformed expectations and controversies, esp at the end of the season - Med not winning anything was crazy - Rune...lol - Sinner? I think just about everyone who was a realist expected him at #2 - #4, the dominance was a shock to the ATP system - Alcaraz being #1 seemed quite likely and - Novak had just won three slams. A lot changed in a hurry
Hmmm... he will be 28 years old next year but has no GS and isn't no. 1 while Alcaraz and Sinner each have 4 and 2 GS. Besides that Alcaraz has 36 weeks at no. 1 while Sinner currently spends 25 weeks at no. 1 and it's counting until even after about Rotterdam 2025
Tsitsipas is a vere promising Ace Expert..but makes errors more often compared to other players ... he needs to work on his Errros... rest all is cooll
Before you beat yourself up about Novak, it's worth noting that he only played in 9 points-earning ATP events this year. Sinner and Alcaraz played 15, Zverev played in 21, and Fritz in 22. Hard to stay on top when you technically play half a season... but it's also pretty damn impressive that he finished ahead of Rublev, who played in 27(!) events.
If Nole gets serious, I think the lowest he can get in a ranking is #3. Dude on hc and grass can come in outta nowhere and he will score a semi or a final without breaking a sweat. And if he really locks in, he can win anything. The age factor will definitely limit his options, but if he chooses his calendar wisely, he has great chances to win a couple of big titles in 2025.
My pick was Alcaraz Sinner Djokovic Medvedev Rublev Rune Tsitsipas Zverev Shelton Korda And I still don’t get it how anyone could belive, that a 37 year old would be as good in 2024 as in 2023 while Sinner and Alcaraz are young and on fire.
Djokovic in ATP finals 2023 said Djokovic would become the world number one in 2024, it's funny to me how nobody believed him and everyone still predicted Djokovic to stay 1st. That said this prediction was acrually spot on, many things are just not predictable, and that's also the beauty of this sport
After his failure in Indian Wells Masters, skipped Miami Open, i was positive that he wouldn't be a year-end no. 1 player this year. Moreover he skipped too many tournaments so he has to defend lots of points starting from Roland Garros until ATP Finals 2024
@wimzswimz9843 I talked about 2024 season, not 2025 one. And it's normal he has to defend points since he gained them😅 Hopefully next year he will be able to play more in the early season as well and Alcaraz to not underperform in the late season
After 3 Slams in 2022, Father time knocking, and the young guns chasing him you can't really blame Novak for his subpar season. He still completed tennis by winning the Olympics and i expect him to be motivated & strong in Australia in January. Other than that, it's really difficult to predict what he'll do.
Its no surprise you got some of them wrong, a bit of an unpredictable year, stunning rise of Sinner, gr8 perf by carlos as expected, zverev maturing his game and personality, and Dkokovic on the brink of retirement..
What were my predictions: 10.Paul (very wild) 9. Ruud 8. Zverev 7.Tsitsipas 6. Hurkacz 5. Medvedev 4. Rublev 3. Djokovic (yeah I know) 2.Sinner 1. Alcaraz I feel bad not pick Fritz, Tsitsipas really threw me on the bus and Hubi is sad cause you cant predict injuries
That's why i disagreed with Djokovic to be placed as a year-end no. 1 this year cuz he has been getting older so i was afraid he would be at his worst shape and i was correct cuz he didn't win any title at least ATP Masters this year except gold Olympic 2024. Sadly, that title is just below ATP Masters and awards no point so it ain't prestigious at all. Anyway after i see such ATP ranking prediction: - No. 5 is the best choice despite Medvedev didn't win any title this year - No. 2, 3,7 and 8 are still good choices. I can't believe Sinner has been in great shape lately - No. 6 is acceptable cuz Zverev isn't consistent but he suddenly steps up into no. 2 - No. 1 isn't a good choice just as i mentioned above - No. 4 & 9 aren't good choices cuz they are too inconsistent - No. 10 is the worst choice. I don't understand why Korda should be in top 10!
@@niggikratzer3300 But he has no GS so far. Maybe he is consistent in entering at least SF. Sadly, he failed in ATP Finals 2024 as he was facing Taylor Fritz in the SF!
@@wimzswimz9843 That has nothing to do with my point. I never said that he won a slam or so. You wrote he is not consistent and that is wrong. I just said that he is very consistent, I never said that he is winning every big tournament

I didn’t do a prediction on this year because i really got into Tennis mid season eventually. But i doubt that i would have picked Djokovic for 1st. He’s not getting younger and Alcaraz was through the roof performance wise last year and from what you heard this season, you could see Sinner was on the rise. So hard competition for Djokovic.
Djoković season killed everybody's prediction, Alcaraz a bit too. If you win 2 slams and not finish the year as n. 2 at least is because the second semester was horrible and it really was for Alcaraz. I hope Alcaraz takes only 4 slams, 10 masters and Finals title next year, that's only I hope so 😅

"Everybody would have had Djokovic at n1". No i didn't. To someone was clear that 2023 was almost a miracle. After the last part of last year I did totally pick Sinner at 1
Come on, don’t blame it on Becker. You bought in to the Rune hype. He’s not there yet, and may never be, but coaches can’t matter that much when he routinely ignores and fires his coaches. His mental stubbornness and immaturity cannot be ignored.
Djokovic has nothing to defend early in the year - Other than Australian open semi final where hes gonna be ranked 7/8 so will have a much tougher draw to get to semi final
Well, it was all thanks to Zverev who beat Alcaraz in the QF of Australian Open 2024 so that Djokovic was still no. 1 despite he only reached the SF. After that, it was Alcaraz's turn to defend bunches of points after Australian Open 2024 so that Djokovic got extra 19 weeks of no. 1. Sadly, he didn't perform well so he had to lose lots of points starting from Roland Garros until ATP Finals 2024. Moroever, he skipped so many tournaments
Once again the commentators have failed to mention Carlos' injuries this year... the ankle in South America and the forearm injury. Because of these he was not able to defend his titles in South America and Spain (Barcelona and Madrid). If it not been for them he would have easily been no2. Also he was ill in the ATP finals. He would have gone further if it were not for that.
When does he do these predictions because I never seen him do these.. I know he does it at the beginning of the year I guess but when will he do these predictions for 2025?
