I created a BOTB (Best of The Best) for my favorite read books. Extra shelves made are like tags / labels that you can add to the book besides having it in the Read shelve.

I’m the same way! I don’t really participate in the social aspect of it, but I do like that I can keep track of all the books I’ve read and some books I want to read.

I want to use it as a log but can you only log what you read in kindle that you can “mark as read”? Like if I read a hard copy, can I not somehow add that to my goodreads log??

Huh, that was interesting. I have a GR account but I don’t do anything with it. I always found it easier to google a book than navigate GR on my computer. But, I now see the utility of it for tracking books. I’ll download the app tomorrow and start using some of those features you mentioned.

I would love to see a video on how to share books. I googled it, but the instructions given don’t match what comes up once I access my Amazon account, if that makes sense. My sister and I wanted to share books, and both have the Kindle paperwhite signature edition, but we couldn’t make it work 🤷♀️.

There are a lot of fun reading challenge groups on goodreads. They have themed games and challenges. If you are competitive and can't say no then it can be overwhelming but they are a lot of fun.

@Rebeca Reyna Goodreads is a online platform to track books you want to read. You can also create other "folders" to organize books better. However, goodreads does not offer free books. You have to buy them. There should be a link under each book that provides options for you to buy the book. Is that what you are asking?

Goodreads is not a reading app. It just helps you keep track of what books you want to read/have read.

Is Audible part of Goodreads?
Great question! As far as I know, there is no way to directly connect your audible account to goodreads. However, you can log the audio version of a book on goodreads.
How to ask a question about any book ? Like, sort of a discussion ?
Can you start a book challenge mid year and add books already read to the list? Trying to figure that out and can’t seem to add them.
You can! The way you add books is by changing the dates read on the books page. Once you add the date you finished the book it will automatically add it to your challenge (assuming you read them this year). Hope that helps! 😁

I'm really leery about adding an app like that. I had my son open a Facebook acct. for me to listen to a presentation on something I had bought, so I listened to the presentation & promptly forgot about it. The next day I had HUNDREDS of friend requests!! I was totally overwhelmed and had my son immediately delete it. So I don't think I'll ever be on any kind of social platform. Love watching UTube though. 😊👍🐾

I find good books on there, but am often disappointed to find they are only available in the epub format.

This app was a recommendation to read books and it turns out you can't read books and it's just for rating books after you've already read it. That's just so sad. Your video ain't though. You clearly explained it.
