  • Alyn and Uel wander in the Antrim Hills, taking in parts of Glenariff Forest and the Garron Plateau. With sun on their faces, water in their boots, the Antrim Plateau lives up to it's squelchy reputation.

Three losing their lives!! 🤭A fine looking reservoir to meet along the way - I realise many find them such an eye store to natural beauty, but I tend to always like them, Dungonnell looked impressive! Certainly looked like a boggy walk on a mild autumnal day Alyn! Nice to see the area 👍

Miriam, do you know, i agree. Sometimes they can be pretty amazing places but I often wonder what the land was like before it was flooded. Would be cool to go back and see the place pre water.
Was certainly a wet walk but really interesting

Alyn, I had a wee smile😊 when I saw you with the gaiters on💧💧and it was good that you had the expected boggy and squelchy ground to try them out. Love walking up along the Inver River and Colin Top is a cool top with those views, Mid Hill not so much😊 Any good trip has to include a tumble of sorts😊

I was a scout, Gerry. Always Be Prepared! Ha ha ha. I knew it was gonna be wet but to be honest I wasn't ready for just how boggy it was. But it is so beautiful up there the views over to the glens and across to Trostan are amazing. We were even getting glimpses of Scotland. Not clear enough for the camera to puck up though. And yes, I often find hidden holes in the ground particularly in the Antrim Hills.

Nice video and certainly shows that its not always easy going. Fair play.

Thanks Patrick. It certainly wasn't easy walking but such a beautiful place. It has left me with a need to see more, I want to explore more of the Antrim hills.

A brilliant day but tough going. The ground is just saturated. And when the bog runs out the heather and grass starts. Its a stunning spot, great views and beautiful habitat. Well worth the visit.

I enjoyed that one, I hope your ok after the tumble 👍. The glens of Antrim is on my list with a few other places. It definitely looked a bog but that’s all part of a day out.
