  • 45 degree rock, same place as in previous test. • RC-maasturi rengastest...
    15°C/60°F temp
Narrow vs wide tyre, grip vs flotation on 1:1 trucks, I found Scott Brady wrote it quite well. That possibly scales down to scale crawlers, they just go more crazy on steep climbs.

Position: A tall, narrow tire is a superior choice for all off-highway surface conditions with the exception of deep, soft sand or mud.

Someone didn't drive a little on the hyrax before testing. Gotta clean the release agent from the mold. My hyrax were full of water, mud and crap all day today, walked right up wet, slick mud tracked rock without issues.
Not to mention completely different foams.

I drove them only maybe ten to twenty hours on snow and wet and dry rocks.
Hyrax are with Pro-Line dual stage foams.
RC4WD tyres have the stock open cell foams.
It's about the contact patch size, smaller contact patch has better traction. Just like in real life.
That is why RC4WD tyres have better grip.

Life happened, I haven't found time to drive more than just few times so no data of that.
