Completely upgraded M2C chassis chassis braces ZRS set up suspension captured hinge pins CVD's steering top plate CRCU titanium center shafts VITAVON bulkheads and Hubs Castle mamba monster X8S esc hobbywing 4985 1650kv geared 22t

Epic run Brother Aldo 😜!!! The Fireteam is easily one of my favorites. So stoked to see she's growing on you Bro. Just ordered a 2nd one for my son Andrew 😱. He chose the white camo just to be different from pop's 😂. Can't wait to get out for a dual FT session and share some quality time tuning and turning wrenches at the house 😍. Congratulations brother on another fire team that is so awesome to hear your son getting involved in the wrenching process and bashing that’s going to make for some awesome family time. Hopefully we see a bashing video with you too out there ripping it up. I really like the white fireteam But my LHS was out of the white when I purchased mine and yes I’m starting to dig the fireteam you never given bad advice brother just took a few sessions to get her tune right but she’s everything you said she would be. How much weight did adding the M2C parts add? If one is going to change that much on the car, why buy it in the first place?! Just build your own from scratch and keep it moving.
The M2c parts didn’t add that much weight and for me I like a little weight anyway it pushes the car farther but there is a happy medium. Thanks for your time.
I ended up using hot glue on the underside of the body panels. Like a rubber washer. You know what l am saying?😂 good vid salami 👍🏼

Ovonic is a good battery brand I used that on my 1/16 , 1/14 , & 1/8th scales
Ovonic lipos are pretty decent, but I like my CNHL’s better along with the HRB‘s
I moved my battery tray back and i didn't like the way it handled. it would oversteer too much! i moved it backed much more stable. i think the factory got it right!
Yeah, it’s definitely not for everybody but if you’re jumping your car, you don’t want that battery tray upfront it’ll make the rc nose down every jump but that’s what’s nice about this hobby. Everybody can set their cars up differently and be happy✌️👍

Stripped out something in the rear diff. Would you put the stock diff sets back in or what upgrades do you recommend for that?
I run the EXB diffs, in all my arrma 6S rigs, and as long as they’re assembled properly, you shouldn’t have any problems at least I don’t
Could you reiterate what you were saying about making it wider if you don’t mind.?
Take off the stock hubs and stub axles and put on kraton hubs and stub axles they come stock set up like a talion
ready for battle!

You can get pretty much everything you need for the truck right there. The only thing I got from eBay for this truck. Was the max6 combo 4985 1650kv
And I don’t know about any noises coming from the truck I don’t have any issues like that

Yeah man it’s an awesome truck when I got mine it sat for a good month or two before I even started messing with it. I had a rough start with it. The first three or four runs were horrible but once I got it tune properly, she’s a beast now, congrats on the new rig. 🤩👍
Avery said he thought that you may be able to help me decide what two 4s batteries I can run on this fireteam. Max 6 g2 esc w/ 5690 1250kv wanting to be able to put them in the factory box otherwise do you recommend a specific battery tray? Thanks man appreciate it bro. I run the HRB’s 4000mah 60c on 8S and they fit in those Lipo trays. You can get a 4200 HRB to fit. It’s just tight if you want a little bit more battery.

You had it done but not mentioned. Replace stock motor mount screws before running. They strip stupid easy

@@AldoLoyal its getting really cold here now in the UK today is the 1stbtime to hit the -temps and it's only goin to get colder now so running time is limited bit ill still get out wen I can for sure 👊🤘💪👌💯 but that just give me some more time to work out my new arms and figure out all the little tweaks I need to do and make 😉

I tried to move the battery tray back but the wires, even removing the wire hold down, wouldn't reach. I think it was the esc wire. Maybe the new braces you put in are shaped different where it meets the chassis, but the stock one won't let it go that far unless I missed something. But I don't fly as high as you or others do so I just treat it like the Typhon 6s. Not full throttle I'll I hit the ramp so it doesn't buck up. Also with a change of tires might help. I put the Mojave fortress tires on the Typhon to get more air control and more cushion. Are you still running stock diff weight? F/C/R? Tyia
50,000 front and rear 1 million center that don’t make sense about the battery tray not moving back. I didn’t have a problem with it and I did it when it was in stock form. I know a few other people that recently did it as well. might have to reroute the wires.🤷♂️
RC cars is a very strange hobby. I have quite a few cars and I love them all I upgrade some. I add different wheels to some but I by no means bash any of them. I have fun with mine and I take good care of them some of my friends get upset with me because I don’t thrash my cars like they see people do and some videos but they never contribute to the cost of my cars or any of my parts so I tell them where they can step off. Anyway, you have fun your way and I’ll have fun my way.

That’s a good question I’m not sure right off hand. I had a lot of the parts from other builds that I was able to use. I’m guessing around two grand.

Suppose to be the biggest, baddest, yet all my 3s and 6s vehicles are so much more fun and seem a lot more durable And better QC. The 8s I bought last year was thrown together with 6s parts and if you've never have one before, you would never know till you ran on 8s and the power starting tearing stuff apart. I nearly had me take it out to the curb and set it out or just giving it away. But with Proline Trenchers, Duratrax Hatchet X wheels and tires, original green shell, Proline brute body, upgraded servo, Robinson Racing pinion, Hot Racing Spur.and Hot Racing upper gear cover. $500. Also being disabled and not 50 yet, get difficult to take out to different places If not staying on my side lot about as long as your running area to about the house in the background.. ok. Back to the vid. Just felt like I watched it due to your closing comments first. Lol

@@AldoLoyal ya sorry about that but when you spend that kinda $ on a brand new one to be a big kid, you figure if they're gonna put the 8s moniker on it, make sure you do what arrma did and make it able to take 8s without stripping everything. I don't bash and maybe get 3- ft of air straight and the Xmaxx has given me more problems than the other 8 combined. I was saying I am running it on 6s not 8s anymore as those batteries had cells go bad 2 months after warranty. and now having to hunt down another grinding in reverse and braking not forward.and that's on 6S. It's on the table now. But think my shaft is bent or bad bearing in the front bulkhead. My bad I'll keep it short from now on. 👍

Where you get the screws for the motor Mount?
Amazon, you can buy bolt kits I buy all different kinds usually 12.9 hardware or stainless. My motor mount screws are stainless I believe the bolts that hold the slide on to the mount are M4 x 20.

What are your thoughts on the vitavon steering rack
It’s OK I’ve got a half a dozen of them but I really don’t run them anymore ever since basherqueen made the servo saver for the stock steering rack the Vitavon one has clearance issues if you’re running aluminum bulkheads even if you run vitavon there’s still a clearance issue

Does your motor get hella hot with the 22t
Yes it does get a bit hot if I push the run over 10 minutes but I run small Lipos 4000 Mah 80 C so my runs are short anyway typically around the eight minute mark if I push the car extremely hard I’ll be around 180 maybe 190 at the end of the run I ran the car yesterday we had cooler temperatures 60° And the truck stayed around 150 the entire run. You really have to watch your tips with that kind of gearing. I would say between an 18 and a 20t you would be great. The truck would still have plenty of power with that set up. It just won’t be so aggressive on its flipping. Hope I answered that OK and that’s what you were looking for. Sorry for the novel it’s early in the morning.

@@MrJoseph5120 there’s something about those castle motors I tried a 1717, 1650 KV first and I could only run an 18 T on it. I put the hobby wing 4985, 1650 in and 18 wasn’t enough 20 was perfect. I just like to go crazy with stuff so I put a 22 on

Yeah, I didn’t have a problem with the stock chassis I just like to upgrade. I’ve bent my share of K6 chassis but never the fire team but I did not run it very long like that maybe three sessions and then It was upgraded but I don’t think a lot of guys are going to be sending them like that, but if so, that stock chassis won’t last long. Thanks my friend.
I'm not ready to upgrade the chassis but when I do is it better to get the m2c or the exb? I know the m2c is stronger but also heavier and this is all ready a pretty heavy vehicle. Don't plan on sending mine to the sun like you do.
@@jblaze725 I would say the M2c it’s not much heavier and the strength that you’re going to be getting from. It is well worth it. It’s also not that much more in price.

Huge fan! Can I ask why you suggest sticking with the stock tower to tower brace with the stock chassis? I was about to install basherqueens but I also have a new m2c chassis in the mail so might have to do a second build all together. Haha please let me know thanks in advance
On the stock chassis, it will flex to the point where you’ll break basherqueen tower to tower on a very hard impact. It won’t survive it might, but it did not for me, but with an M2C chassis you won’t have that problem you can run her tower to tower

That’s the Way to go brother that will fix your air control I think you can get away with just doing it with some hex extenders, but I did it with the Kraton hubs and a stub axles
@@AldoLoyal hey man! I already got the Hot Racing Kraton Hubs but apparently not the ones which are wider. I am thinking i’ll add 10mm hex extenders to those hubs. Should work ?

Thanks brother that’s a hard one. I like the hot racing ones but I usually eat the bearings up on those Vitavon has pretty decent bearings I would say vitavon.

@@derekschomburg5076 if you want it to be stock get the Mojave hubs but if you want to go wider, get the Kraton hubs, you just have to have the Kraton stub axles

Don’t get me wrong that tower to tower super tough but if you take a hard Noser or tail landing with the stock chassis and that carbon fiber tower to tower, there’s a possibility it will shatter I took a lot of hits with it before I did break one it’s just up to your style of bashing.
And you might not even have a problem. A lot of guys run that tower in tower with a stock chassis and they’re good. I love her parts takes so much weight off of the RC.
