    I’ve had the same boat for about a year now and have to say your review is spot on, totally agree on your best points and slight niggle with regards to the steering. I now have the compass on mine and it solves the issue of going straight when in cruise control, still needs the occasional direction tweak but it’s a massive improvement. Very well put together review, well done mate 👍

    Honest and thorough review. For anyone put off by your comment about the boat veering in auto, these boats are now fitted with what is mentioned in the review called the 'compass.' This keeps the boat going in a straight line when in auto and makes a massive difference.

    Thank you so much for this highly honest and informative review. I built my own boat some 14 yrs ago, which is still functional but felt I needed a change and based on this review and your conclusion I bit the bullet and invested in one with compass, will be using it for the first time this weekend. I will keep you posted on my experience, but based on you're review and the comments others have posted, I feel my opinion will be academic really 🤣 Boat looks and feels incredible value for money. Again thank you for taking the time to create this awesome video, tight lines and all the very best.

      You’re welcome m8, hope it helped. Yea you’re spot on… just a bit of attention needed when putting out and retrieving, (and I understand they now include some sort of compass system that helps the ‘straightness’ though no idea if it works. As you say… still much easier than the alternative, and nothing that outweighs the massive value for money factor.

    Greet review, have the same boat and it's very good for the money. On the going straight, I put it on scales, weighed left side and the right side, it's not balanced. Bit crude I know but I the "lighter side" I put a d type battery covered in double sided tape in the hull as far in as I could without opening up the boat. It definitely helped.

    1x beep -0 -25%
    2x beeps 25% - 50% and so on, also when not in use take the battery lid off incase of moisture. Cheers

  • @terryburn4937

    Use the separate hopper. Rig in one and bait in the other. If you don’t get the drop you want then you can bring the boat back with the bait to not waste bait or have bait sat on the wrong part of the spot
    When you’ve used the boat, make sure you remove the battery compartment and leave it to dry out. Otherwise it will gather condensation and you’ll have problems with the boats function. Also store the boat with the battery compartment open for this same reason
    To stop water getting in, put some silicone around the mount that the handle attaches to at the front and back

  • @bardoclips3713
    @bardoclips3713 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    A great and honest review of the boat m8!👍🏻 Imo this one beats the actor basic due to the big hopper. Im gonna use this in combination with a deeper sonar. You also use the deeper mount on this boat? Thought I seen the sticker on the backside.

    awesome video mate, very informative, one question...have you actually tried the hook dropper and found it DID blunt the hook or are you just unsure that it will/wont damage it ;)

    • @TheAnglr
      @TheAnglr  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did try it a few times, but not enough to say one way or other. As you know I’m not really fishing a place where I can risk it.
      The way it’s deigned means you can’t protect the hook with foam or anything… so you have to hook over the bar you see in the video. So when you are on the way to your spot your hook is riding back and forth over this bar repeatedly, which is really risky IMO. If the gape was bigger and you could protect the hook with foam I think I’d use it a lot more.. not a deal breaker though :)

    • @TheAnglr
      @TheAnglr  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sorry m8, bit late in responding… Yea you’re not alone, it’s not the easiest to clip in.
      To be fair, I don’t really use it to the point I don’t even bother bringing it with me anymore… when I was making this vid, I seem to remember the trick being put one end in first (I think front maybe?!?) and then click in the other end.
      Maybe it’s one of those things that’ll improve with use, or maybe a bit of light sanding might help? Anywho… cheers for the like m8. 👊

    • @TheAnglr
      @TheAnglr  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haven’t tried it in very choppy conditions. Like I say in the video, I think it’s best suited for small to medium size lakes and not to drastic weather conditions. I mention in the beginning of the video a wave rating… do some research on that figure and it may give you some more info. Hope that helps!
