Finally an ad about something I might actualy use, frog.
Having multiple postprocessing volumes can also add cool effects like if you want that forest to seem more ominous you could add a vignette and color correct it to be tinted in a dark blue.
This is one of the best dev diaries I have seen on youtube
It would be cool to have an online mode where there’s other players islands nearby where you can make friends with or conquer and take over their islands. Frog
I've got an idea for online multiplayer! Something along the lines of a main city world where players can PvP and duel, as well as complete dungeons and quests together. I have a lot of ideas for the game further down the track after release :) I agree though being able to go to your friend island and help them with quests etc would be so fun!

Omg you fixed the playlist order, feels good. No longer have to do it by hand.
The pier. The wood slightly above the water should be darker due to the ocean water rising and falling. The wood stilts further out would have a higher dark water mark, while the more shallow stilts would have the mark much closer to the water line. This was just my random thought watching the video.

This game needs Nature Landmarks. Places that are memorable and nice to watch
might be cool to add landmarks that hint at some kind of lore. not like a wall of text, but like just some ruins, or a cottage that looks lives in, leaving the player to guess what might be going on there.

I really like how to modelise your asset and how you make your level design. Good job man !
I think it is odd how illogical the dark forest looks when you explain what you did but when you go through the forest it looks good. Like the forest is clearly not casting those shadows but with that camera angle it still looks good.
I'm learning Unity. Once I'm comfortable with the interface, I can start my first major project. Thinking I'll go with something with an aesthetic, mood, and strangely-abstract world of something like Frogger (1997).

How do you get your grass that dense? Everytime I try and work on the grass for my level, Unity starts screaming at me and randomly purges assets. Love this series and watching your journey!

I'd love to know how you import those leaf shadows from photoshop, for the life of me I can't figure it out! I understand assigning them to a plane a casting the shadows only, but it doesn't seem to want to use the png I import.
