- Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus
Season 1, Episode 2
Jerry Lee Lewis, 4 of 6
Aired on Cinemax: 2017.09.29
One of the pioneers of rock’n’roll, Jerry Lee Lewis also happened to be a country music singer who liked to call himself “The Killer.” He made a name for himself not just as a magnetic piano-playing singer, but also as an impulsive, gun-wielding wild man, who stoked epic rivalries with the likes of Chuck Berry and Elvis Presley. The Killer also notoriously married his 13-year-old second cousin, setting off an epic worldwide scandal.

I can’t believe we didn’t get more seasons out of this
Costs money to make it I'm sure. Probly didn't turn a profit
@@tomcruiiseship9461their advertisement sucked. I happened apon it while channel surfing one night. If more folks knew, the ratings probably would have been a lot better.
This show was incredible
they killed the show with season 2.
@@MoeSlislack how?
"it's hard to follow a burning piano"🤣🤣
This series was solid gold
I have worked for some shady folks in bluegrass and country, bit, nothing can compare to The Killer!!@ RIP The Killer!! I guess we also owe him for saving "Libby" too.
Dental office and false teeth! Utterly fantastic!
I always wondered if Jimi Hendrix at Monterey took notes From Jerry Lee about instrument pyromania
Jimi: "Follow that, white boy!"
JL Lewis couldn't carry Hendrix's shoes.
@@csnide6702Hendrix didn’t wear shoes most of the time.
Actually he got the lighting guitars on fire from Buddy Guy, also playing the guitar behind his back. Not sure who lit what on fire first between Lewis and Guy.
I always read that Pete Townsend inspired Hendrix and Hendrix asked Townsend permission to light his guitar at Woodstock because he didn't want to steal their vibe.
I absolutely love this series!
Best thing Mike Judge has done since Idiocracy and Office Space .
He did Beavis and Butthead, king of the hill and silicone valley. All three were more popular than what you just posted.
@Frank_Reynolds__. So fxxxxxg what ! The commercial success/ popularity of one show in no way diminishes the quality of another. Tales from the Tour Bus was brilliant . its unfair to compare a niche show like TOTTB to more conventional sitcom style show like King of the Hill ( again a brilliant show ) or a phenomenon like Beavis and Butthead. TOTTB isn't that kind of show .
@neilmccormick2064 LMAO you're the one who suggested the pecking order of his shows by your OP. I simply pointed out that he's had multiple shows that were more successful/popular. Get off your high horse 🤣
"One less piano player" LOL! I mean I'm glad he self-censored that. It was a different time, right?
I'm under the impression that Liberace's sexuality was kept secret until after he died, when it was revealed he died of aids.
Kind of amazing what bad people so many musicians have been. When these stories are done of the less incriminating ones you know you are into something
Is the narrator Hank Hill?
Yes.
Uhhhhh yeah.
Also Mr. Van Drisen.
Yeah, I looked at the page after watching and saw that it was Mike Judge. Duh, I knew the voice sounded familiar.
That boy ain't right
Wait...Jerry Lee Lucas contemplated killing Liberace?
Don't Mess With The Lewis's
Wild man!
More!
What happens when you drop a piano down a mine shaft ??
You get an A flat minor 😊
Who are you talking to?
@@dukebaloof2540 it's a joke, talking to anyone with a sense of humor ...hope you find a sense of humor someday
Says the guy quoting a joke you could find on the backside of a popsicle stick @@JB-tr6nu
It's funny how he said, '..Lon Cheney jr as the werewolf' and they showed George Zucco turning into a Werewolf. Cheney played 'The 'Wolfman' not the Werewolf. The 'Werewolf of London' was Henry Hull and then Oliver Reed played 'The Curse of The Werewolf for Hammer Films. Trivial point about someone who only misspoke but someone out there might be confused so I help them out😮😂
This like King of the Hill.
Lol, I had no idea Mike Judge was part of this, I just thought: sounds like butt head narrating and lo and behold!! 😂😂😂
His normal speaking voice sounds like a cross between Butthead and Hank Hill lol
🎶 Hello Rusty Brown, good bye rus-ty caaaaar🎶
chickenwire protection schemes and pull tab shlitz woohoo
It's way more badass than, say, proper venue insurance.
Boy Howdy! Those were the good days!
Follow that mfer lol
Id like to know the office he had that he shot up in Memphis
The Disgraceland episode on Jerry Lee changed my perspective of the legendary rocker. Pretty sure he killed at least one of his wives...
Great musicians treat us to their amazing talents, but most are pretty awful people.
Lewis certainly didn't have great balls of fire, you don't talk it up saying you're gonna run over Liberace then weasel out of it seconds later.
He was a hell of a piano player & apparently a jealous, insecure, petty & despicable clown
Pushing the limits while simultaneously being a peedo file and a psychopath, good guy though...
I hope you say peedo file in a Jimmy Carr voice
Paedophile
Jerry & Berry sure did like young girls.
They should have done skits like drunk history instead of animating it. Might have got a longer run out of this series then.
No way . Mike Judge is an animator, it's part of his deal, and it works brilliantly. He's not a sketch comedian.
