Séamus Begley's death reported on RTÉ News (10th January 2023)

RTÉ News reports on the death of renowned Irish traditional musician and singer Séamus Begley. A native of Paróiste Múrach in the West Kerry Gaeltacht, Begley was widely regarded as one of Ireland's finest accordion players, while his gentle style of singing endeared him to audiences around the world.

Yes, me too.. I saw himself and his brother Breanndán on The Tommy Tiernan Show a few years ago and was so taken by them that I recorded it.. And then I heard him singing "The Patriot Game", and his daughter Maebh singing "Amhrán na nGael" Where both her father Seámus and uncle Breanndán accompanied her with Altan, and I was so grateful for people like him and his family who strive to keep Irish language and culture alive.. By his passing, we as a people have suffered a huge loss, and I just hope we can recover from it... 💔 🙏🏻 May he rest in peace and condolences to his wife, his children, his siblings, and his beloved pets... 💔
