  • In this episode I reassemble the column after cleaning/restoring all its parts. This is a step by step video meant to help answer some questions if your having some trouble during your reassembly.

Idk how this doesn’t have a million views, it was almost identical to my 1995 Jeep wrangler

Thanks for putting this video together. I rebuilt a tilt, saginaw column 4-5 years ago. I have another now, and I couldn't remember many of the details, so this video was a big help. I watched the video a couple of times, and I was all set. I thought if you could film and assemble the column in 30 minutes, it shouldn't take me longer than an hour. It was 4 hours ago that I had that thought. I'm still trying to set my shift tube. My shift tube, as I assume all are, is collapsable. And when I go to set it into the little black collar with a hammer and a couple of large sockets, it collapses. So, I removed the tube, and managed to stretch it back out, only to have it collapse again. I've done that 3 times now. I'm not doing it again. I quit.

Good job, I did the ignition rack on my 1970 Riviera a few years back. The horn cam went bad recently. Somehow got wrinkled up in assembly and was making God awful noise. Ordered cam from Amazon. Can you believe they, had it? All roads lead to Amazon these days. Anyhow, I was just looking for a quick refresher on horn assembly...... Thx
