It's been a really long time and I forgot the immense talent this group has. They are THE GOAT of Kpop, and it is clearly palpable in this MV. They make magic with music that no one in kpop can compare to. Their aura and artistry is outstanding. My respect for them just went thru the roof.

LOL YG dropped a long-ass statement to clarify to investors (so they'd stop selling their stocks hahaha) that this isn't the end for BIGBANG, it's a new start. We don't know how long until we see them promote again as a group, but they're definitely gearing up for solo activities. GDragon is being active again. Still Life was, to me, their way of testing the waters in SK. Obviously, the way the song hit the top in the charts with bare minimum promo, GP says they'll forever be kings. Legendary tier, in my opinion.

The kings are back. Whether they’ll be back for good isn’t probable but we can all wish right? The whole mv, the lyrics and just seeing BB again made me emotional considering they were the group that got me into Kpop.
This song is bittersweet. It's sweet to get to see them again, heat their voice again, listen to their music again. It's bitter coz of meaning of the song, it's the seasons of the year, the movement of time, us saying goodbye to our youth coz tbh majority of us VIP are now in our 30's. Like, look at the time that have passed, how long our journey have been, how far we've become as a person, we're now working, with family, etc we're no longer those youth. It's also a goodbye for them on their youth just like us, reminiscing memories of their career and journey. Very nostalgic, very emotional.
As far as what the sets mean, this is what I got out of them: Taeyang's set is Spring. With the bible verse behind, the crashed ship, and the *lamb (Side note, a lamb also suits the new beginnings and bible verse) and comfortable way he's sitting, it's like he's telling us he's grateful for the ship (VIPs) that took him to his new Life, his Spring. He's content and happy and grateful with where he is. Daesung's set is Autumn. Somehow, his is the saddest. His lighting is darker, it looks like he's in an old house/museum looking into rooms he used to live and work in. He never really goes into them, just looks and turns away. I think he's telling us he misses the way things were, but he understands time changes everything and he can't go back. GD's set is Summer. As you mentioned his scenes are full of things that look like stage sets, or MV sets. He's got colour all around him but it's muted. He's the least ready to leave it all behind, he wants to perform, he wants to be in front of the audience even if he's gotta do it alone. And then there's TOP. His set is Winter. He's on a snowy planet in exploration gear, gazing fondly back at the Earth, with its people and lights all lit up. I think he's telling us he's exploring. He's been exploring, and at the end of the video he's walking towards the Earth, which is lit up with lights from civilization (VIPs reference again, like GD?). It gives the feeling that he'll be back on his own, hence leaving the label, to share with us what he's explored. His being Winter tells us of a hibernation, a preparation for Spring. TLDR I think Tae is happy with his life without performing, and grateful that performing gave him that life; Dae is remorseful that it ended, but not exactly ready to keep going either. More just... reminiscing; GD hasn't STOPPED, and isn't READY to stop, and doesn't know if he even CAN stop performing at this point; And TOP has been hibernating, but wants to show us the changes when time turns to Spring for him again. Editing to add: I do agree that DS could be Summer and GD Autumn. Initially, I had them that way myself, especially because it's in the transition order. However, looking at their meanings, the words they're giving us from their hearts, I feel like they're switched. Whether intentional or not, the mood the two are giving is different. Yes, I felt it too. The band is bring much 70s and 80's feeling that dont know why I feel I miss it when heard it in this song although I was born in 80. And maybe its just me think its not actually good bye song? Just they said good bye for the old big bang since they are now grown men in their 30s now? Knowing how much of a perfectionist they are when it comes to work and producing music, I think it's safe to say that they purposely kept their vocals that way, like what you say "so raw, it's almost like an unfinished demo", it makes their emotions so transparent and it's very effective in delivering their message through the lyrics, the melody and with the overall vibe of the song and music video as well. I'm not a big fan of them but damn, this song is so good. The lyrics, vocals and melody makes me so sad. It become a lullaby in my ears.
The reason their hairs are long means time has gone like the tiltle. Seasons passed several times for a long time since they showed up as bigbang. This song means so deep. The mv has a lot of messages. The more times i watch this mv , i’m so amazed how sophisticated this was made. So thankful we have them, true artists of this era.

BUT acknowledge their present selves, & admit to fearing, but are excited about their future. TOP’s rap seemingly alluded to Seungri’s departure🧐. Yes, I felt it too. The band is bring much 70s and 80's feeling that dont know why I feel I miss it when heard it in this song although I was born in 80. And maybe its just me think its not actually good bye song? Just they said good bye for the old big bang since they are now grown men in their 30s now? And to say good bye to all pain and hurt they felt after everything they have been through. I hope so. Big Bang always produce high quality music. Its will be too sad if they are really say good bye to the fans.

Knowing how much of a perfectionist they are when it comes to work and producing music, I think it's safe to say that they purposely kept their vocals that way, like what you say "so raw, it's almost like an unfinished demo", it makes their emotions so transparent and it's very effective in delivering their message through the lyrics, the melody and with the overall vibe of the song and music video as well. Thank you for appreciating the song and everyone's vocal tone 💛 oh and by the way, just wanna add this here, the idea of GD designing and making a lightstick for the VIPs comes from his desire of wanting to identify BIGBANG'S fans in a crowd. Back then, Kpop fans use different colored balloons representing their fandom but I think sometimes, certain colors overlap with other groups and in some events, say like a year-end award show, it really is hard to identify which group does a certain fan stan (unless they're sitting with each other, maybe 😆), thus the birth of the very first lightstick, Bang Bong 😂💛
