I think he explained at the end of the book that he acted rude because he didn’t want her to want the job bc all of the stuff they did in the past and then he actually started to like her (I don’t want to spoil it for others)

I really enjoyed it, I agree the twist was a little out of left field a bit but I was okay with it. I did get creeped out at night reading this and seeing the pictures lol 👍

There are some threatening sequences, and obviously the illustrations depict a murder that is part of the center mystery of the novel, but it never gets too gory or gruesome. Sexual content is also pretty slim, but what is there is pretty tame. Nothing worse than you would find in a PG-13 film. I hope you give it a shot!
