Great job! Now we just need to get kids playing those old synthesizer parts. And I have never seen anyone that could sing it like Johnny did back in the 70's. That band spent a lot of time in the Midwest and I never got tired of watching them play!
So many great bands like this that popped out of the Midwest back in the 70's. Heartsfield and Starcastle were a couple of others. Head East never made it huge but that first album is GOOD.

I'm always bummed when new iterations of old bands lose the subtlety of classic riffs. Thanks for pointing that out. BTW, Head East and Point Blank were frequent spins back when I started learning guitar.

Well done sir!.... must say, quite impressed with noticing the subtlety of hopping up to the e string on the first half of the slide up... been playing with out it, but much better with it... feels very awkward at first.

I've never said that, I like Head East just fine. I said there was a particular song that someone relentlessly kept requesting and I'm not inclined to play that song.

You have too much distortion on, it's difficult to distinguish what notes you are playing, backing it off several numbers would clean up your sound some an make it easier to hear the exact notes. Thank you.
I saw Head East play to a crowd of a dozen people back in 1985. They put on a show like they were playing to 12,000. True professionals.
Used to drink Genesee Cream Ale listening to this song. Now it’s Genesee lager! Nice job.
