Wonderfully described. Nice video :) Was wondering, are there any public transport options in Lerwick? What if I just go for a trip without car.. Thanks :)
Many thanks for your kind comment. Yes, there is a bus and ferry network in Shetland - go to zettrans.org.uk for timetables. You will have to be prepared to walk perhaps some distance from the nearest bus stop to see the many archaeological and historical sites.
how can anyone be so certain of the date of the construction yet none knows what they were built for... i think these stories abou brochs...are very much.....and no iron,,there a few vieos on the subject but I haven´t seen any piece of iron found at these sites...it all sounds like.....the video is very nice of course, it is what the historians say about these places...ahhh uuhh yah...
These structures are magnificent. They don’t take away from the beautiful landscape, they look as if they belong there.
Hope to visit some of these one day. I saw a nice one on Isle of Skye during my trip there.
What is the name of the woman who presents these videos. She's really excellent and it's a pity she's not acknowledged.
Many thanks for this. It is my wife, Sheila, who presents our videos.
