    My daughter got pregnant and had my granddaughter at 14 and she is going to be graduating at the end of her 11th grade year and is heading to nursing school for college next year. These girls will all make it. I wish they offered something like this for girls in America.

    I love Drew’s Nan and her outlook and unconditional love for her granddaughter and great grandmother. We need places like this for those who go do get pregnant young, especially places where choices are limited. Everyone deserves an education, otherwise we setting them up for to fail or be very limited in what they can do. I appreciate places like this. I knew of a similar one from an older doc but I think it was in the states. Just like the school in the states trying to help teens with substance issues with education and a touching series on mtv it was called recovery high.

    It's so cool that there is a school like this around so young parents can continue their education and have support.
    As a first time mum just recently at the age of 38, i was way too much of a sh*thead teen back then to be a functioning good quality mother 😂 so props to all those teen parents out there looking after their kids!

    Ngaa mihi ki a koutou. I just think what the kura is doing for these mums and babies is awesome. Education is indeed the key for their future. These babies and their mums are incredible ppl doing the best they can because heaven knows its not easy raising babies on your own. I wish you all the best with your Education,and your future. Definitely raising children makes you grow up faster.

    This program for the student mothers is wonderful. I suggest there should be mandatory classes each high school year for all male students: anatomy, birth control incl. condoms, parenting classes, the role of fathers, budgeting for a family, etc.

    It's your responsibility, just like hers

      I don’t agree with all the blame being put on the girl.
      If you are man enough to get a girl pregnant, be a man and take care of what you created.
      If not:
      Use protection or get snipped.
      I live in the United States, and remember back in 2022, when Roe v Wade was overturned, appts. At clinics to get snipped ‘skyrocketed.’

    Interesting to see this outside the US, obviously if they had more schools that catered to teen moms their outcome in life would be better, however also in America there are many outlets for income if one doesn’t seek education i.e. social media, working, and unfortunately many girls do OF or other things like it!

    Sex is something that only adults should be partaking in. Teens who don’t have a stable foundation to raise a child shouldn’t be doing it.

      Tell that their hormones. Surely you remember your teen years? Teenage hormones run rampant and can lead to what could be considered reckless behaviour, particularly if the teens have grown up in an insupportive environment.Their brains aren't even fully developed. We need to educate and have empathy, not judge.

    • @ladybug3380
      @ladybug3380 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @ I agree, that’s why I lost my virginity at 18 with my current partner. I was taught by my parents not to partake in that activity too young and I listened. Some kids don’t listen.

    • @EJJP46
      @EJJP46 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ladybug3380some kids come from extremely broken homes, and are dealing with the trauma that has been inflicted on them. Like that vulnerable girl whose mum was a drug addict and then was preyed upon by a grown ass man.
      Most of these girls do not come from homes instilling good values.
      It’s easy to judge from a privileged position.
      Teen mums are often desperate for someone to love them. Do you know what it feels like to be desperate for love as a child? It’s heartbreaking and you will accept any type of attention as love.
      Have some compassion. These girls aren’t stupid or bad, they’re just kids without proper guidance or role models. They’re coping with the dysfunction of their upbringing, they’re doing what almost all of their peers are doing but got pregnant and chose to keep their child and work hard for a better life.
