Additional Speculations: Artemis is exclusively the goddess of the hunt in the Hades series setting and Hades 2 has introduced Selene the moon goddess of early greek mythology (Artemis only became the moon goddess much later in mythology); so I get the feeling there is a chance that Selene might end up dying/sacrifice herself for plot reasons and then Artemis ends up picking up the role of the lunar goddess. As a mythology hobbyist it was weird to see that Apollo who also became a sun god in the later stages of greek mythology to show up as a sun god in Hades 2 (remember that Helios came first! or maybe less sun god and more 'god of light' in general but come on his whole motif just screams sun) while Artemis the supposed other twin in the sun and moon pair has yet to assume the role of the moon goddess yet. But then again, they only became twins later on too (originally they were not twins), and it shows in their design with Apollo and Artemis sharing no physical resemblance at all (different skin tone, hair color, facial features, basically everything at a glance). Artistic interpretation of mythology aside, this feels very deliberate, like supergiant wants to do something here.
@@minaly22 "As a mythology hobbyist" you should know there is no "originally", no definitive versions and it's not as simple as Artemis "becoming" the Moon Goddess "later". Selene is not a Goddess "of the" Moon, she IS the Moon, that's what the word "selene" (σλεήνη) means.
Yes. I'm hoping that one of the things we're going to be doing over several runs is finding pieces of Zagreus and bringing them back to be reassembled. It sounds gruesome, but I think it could be played for comedy, especially if we find his head first and it still talks. Endless puns about quitting while you're ahead, etc.
If you look at Artemis's art (including in the first game) she wears a tiara with a crescent moon on it and moon phases on either side. It was definitely mentioned but not emphasized in H1, but of course Artemis is also patroness of many other things too. She's definitely already a moon goddess, along with Mel, Hecate and Selene (obviously) all of which are calling themselves the Silver Sisters and hinting at years of history together already at the start of H2.

They mention that Hermes is also out scouting, so I'm sure we'll see him soon enough! Probably not important, but I'm guessing Chronos took everyone by surprise, both Hades and Olympus. Artemis and Hermes are out and free, but that's just because they weren't on Olympus when Chronos attacked. Yes, please, please. Show us Mount Olympus, give us more time and freedom on the surface. Show us the gods in their physical form, too (like Artemis). This is the dream scenario!
Death to Chronos I believe is a reference to the fact that Melinoë is the goddess of the restless undead so I believe it’s about making grandpa and the other titans a proper resting place, the blessed lands. Melinoë has already shown like Hades, she believes that all things have a place through organization but with more compassion. Anyway, that’s my ending prediction.
I think there's something to that! I've been trying to figure out what defeating Chronos would even look like. I mean, he's one of the big principles of the natural world. "Time cannot be stopped," and all that. And if he were somehow killed, what would that do to the world? I keep going back to the line by Moros in the reveal trailer. "This is an opportunity for you to make a better future for us all." Well, it's in 2 shots so that exact quote may not show up in the game. But yes, maybe Mel will be the key to somehow making peace with the Titans, really truly ending the war.

anyone notice how Melinoe, Hecate, Artemis, and Selene all have the orange, black, and green braids in their character designs? I guess it's cause they're all connected to the moon and magic or witchcrafts? as personifications of the moon. Since Selene's dialogue calls Melinoe a "Silver sister?" like the silver moon
When I first saw the thing about rescuing shades and inviting them to the crossroads I really thought that meant like full on NPCs of random Greek heroes, but that might still be the case later on in the game? Like imagine being able to kind of collect and rescue members of the Argonauts, or characters that are important in some of the Crossroads’ inhabitants’ stories. This is my roundabout way of praying for Circe to make some kind of appearance
you go down to save hades ( first type of run) and then you go up to save olympus( second type of run). 2 sets of biomes. It would be cool. More bosses, more variety, more gods, MOOOOOREEEEE. Thanks for the video. Obs: even if we later find out this is not true, i'm still super excited to play the sequel, whatever they decide to do i'm sure it will be a banger.
I agree, but its been said there are three ways out of the crossroads, and I wonder if mel might venture back to the house of hades the traditional way from hades 1 as well after the other two are complete
My even crazier theory is that we eventually rescue Zag, and on top of having different types of runs, we can choose between Zag and Mel. The next best thing would just be getting Zag boons.
To add to that: i think he ll take artemis' place in the latter zones (or maybe achilles?) coz she mentioned previously that she cant follow mel to the underworld as she s not a chthonic god like her
It would be cool if we got to fight Zagreus, like imagine him switching between his weapons on different runs, he could be brainwashed or have a clone or something that’s standing in your way
Re.11: I always think it's amazing how much players grow to play faster and more aggressive as they get more accostumed to Hades 1. You check most people's first runs and it's usually a lot of awkwardly running from attacks, doing a special then walking away, and so on. Unless they just wildly smash all buttons, of course. There's certainly some of that in play here, but I do think Hades 2 combat looks a bit more deliberate, with the single dash, charge attacks, and movement-locking cast. Which obviously isn't necessarily a negative, and it might not even be significative, but it does seem to feel a bit different. But that's just the impression I have from watching (hello, where's my access??).
Familiarity and a routine helps a ton with this sort of game, at least for me. I know Hades I looked very awkward for me until I got something that really clicked (for me it was the twin fists, because holding down attack for continuous ones was super helpful)
I've played the tech test for a few days and I'd say that it definitely feels like a sequel in the best way possible. While it took a little bit of adjustment for the single dash, both games play pretty similiarily which is a huge bonus to me since combat in Hades was so much fun and so repeatable.
Mel's animations do actually look a lot more deliberate and careful. Though maybe that's just better animations and not strictly a bit slower gameplay. But even if that's not the case, I'm totally fine with it! A game can be fast and a game can be a bit slower - neither are necessarily better or worse, the main deciding factor here is execution. If it's executed properly, it's going to be great, either way. And I don't doubt the execution will be masterful! Can't wait.
I'm so excited for Early Access. Hades II will be an immediate PC buy for me. Then, when full release comes around on other platforms, I'll probably buy it on Switch or PS5 as well. Looking forward to staying tuned in to Haelian too. ✨️
**Spoiler** I wouldn't be surprised if the path down goes to Tartarus and it turns out Kronos isn't there and then the path going up unlocks and then you have to fight your way up to Mt Olympus. Would be cool if it was different regions that you can choose along the way like in Dead Cells tho
I absolutely expect we'll see Mount Olympus. There's a gate taking us up, I assume to Greece, and from there I think there's only one interesting place to go. Although if Mel is anything like Zag, will she be able to survive long in the real world? I figure the Crossroads is magic enough to sustain her, but I dunno
@@ndemers I've been very curious what the replayability is going to be. Her not being able to sustain herself outside of the Underworld could make sense but seems a little boring to repeat Zags problem. Maybe she's inherited more of her mom's side so that's not an issue. Still as far as replayability goes the only thing I can think of is that Kronos somehow rewinds time back to the beginning
@@84SuperBeast Re: Mel: yeah, that makes sense. Or maybe it's that Zag died as a newborn, so now he's locked in the Underworld. A million ways to resolve this. I never thought about replayability! Assuming there's a final ending where Chronos is defeated / contained, I could totally see Mel still going out on runs to clean up the Underworld or something, or test Olympus' defenses.
@@ndemers I think she is able to go on the surface. Zag was a special case since Persephone birthed him in the Underworld, and Nyx's magic was able to revive him at the cost of making him unable to go get fresh air like his father. It's clear Melinoë was not stillborn in the underworld so no Nyx magic stuff needed that binds her to tartarus. Like sure she's not on the surface, she's a bit above Erebus, and she just 'returns to shadow' instead of needing the Styx
Dan Dan Dan, in Hades 2 do they ever do a title drop in the narration, like, "Few have heard the tale of the underworld, of the family that lived fractured and frayed, at war and betrayed, this is a story... of Hades Too" (sick dubstep remix of the Hades theme blasts through the speakers)
Thanks for clearing up a lot of stuff haelian, quick question, are you planning on ever doing a cosplay for the character aphrodite from the upcoming game Hades 2 by the developers supergiant games, best known for games like bastion, transistor, and hades?
My out of nowhere theory is that there will be a sequence where Mel will run through Zagreus's gauntlet from Hades 1 as a result of Chronos's nonsense with time
I could totally see that! Probably an abbreviated version, maybe with two- or three-chamber biomes and the bosses being nerfed to mini-bosses, but that would be _such_ a sick throwback.
@@dylanpyle6500 … I still fail to see how making an enemy based off a boss from the past invalidates a past game. Hell, some games do this in just one title
I think it would be cool if after beating Chronos for the first time, you could receive boons from the - now freed - Zag or Hades, or the family as a whole. They did a similar thing with having to reach the surface to see Demeter in Hades 1 so I think it could be possible.
If all the olympians are going to be in the game that would also include Hera. Aswell, if Selene is in the game as a boon giver, we can assume her counterpart helios could be here too
I'm very much enjoying the moon themes in the game so far! For those that don't know, Melinoe (i dont have diacritics on my keyboard sorry) is relatively obscure but from the Orphic Hymn we have of her, she is described with similar adjectives to lunar goddesses (namely, that she has a crocus veil -- which is likely why her attire is orange!). Hecate, Artemis, and of course Selene, are all connected to the moon. I'm very interested to see what the Path of Stars really entails. It'd be cool if more celestial deities were introduced, like Eos or the Pleiades :D Thank you Dan for your lovely videos! Fun fact: the marks on the moon in greek mythology were battle scars from the Titanomachy iirc
I think we'll get at least 5 more olympians. Hermes, Ares, Athena and Dionysus from H1, and a non zero change for Hera as well. No clue what her boons would do though
I'll say it here. I have 2 theories about how the game is gonna develop. First, I think Chronos is just the first big boss. My gut tells me Supergiant is dangling him in front of us so that we do not see the surprise behind. Second, something tells me that Zagreus being playable could be a huge surprise. Maybe you can pick one or the other before every round, or tag them in and out in combat. That'd be amazing.
POSSIBLE SPOILERS. Crackpot theory is that Hecate is working with Chronos in some way. During her clone attack she says “Past, Present, Future” If she has some time powers that makes me think she’s related to Chronos in some way. There has to be some big reveal that changes our view of the situation.
Well, she's also a Titan, though according to Wikipedia she's a younger generation, and in the myths she sided with Zeus and the Olympians. So for now I'm going to assume she's good. All of her phrases are very "witchy", and she's sometimes represented as a triad -- both in ancient art and in modern Wicca. With three heads or three aspects. Maiden, mother and crone; past, present and future.
the "Past, Present, Future" can also be referring to her nature as a triple goddess that can be seen in some interpretations of the myths. she is the maiden (past), the mother (present; which she also kinda is to melinoe even though she insists otherwise), the crone (future). in other interpretations she shares the triple goddess position with persephone (kore - the maiden) and demeter (the mother) as the crone, but in others she alone is a triple goddess also.
@@ndemers The aspects are also a 'generations having their natural places together' concept and even in the original myths he was definitely against that in both directions relative to himself. So if anything I would think that should place them in natural opposition even if he hadn't become active again.
I think for the first 10 successful runs, we’ll most likely have to fight a possessed Zag, and possibly Meg or Than since they’re forced to serve under Chronos. Then afterwards, we’ll probably go up to Olympus to defeat him for good.
In place of the Heroes fight, you'll be fighting Megara and Thanatos. They serve the current ruler of Hades, and as such are bound to serve Chronos once he's taken over Hades.
Unrealistic hopes include underworld, Atlantis to help posiedon and then Olympus word for 9 total biomes and then zagrius co op/option to play as him??
The olympians generally includes everyone you have listed here (except Selene, she’s not an Olympian) but also Hera as well. So there’s a good chance she’ll be there, but being the goddess of marriage, family & childbirth, she may not be giving out the main kind of boons. 4:01
One hope that I have is that the bosses are a little randomized after the first floor. Instead of fighting the same person every time you get to the end of a floor, it could be one of Atlas/Hyperion/Prometheus (but i’m gonna predict that prometheus would be an assist room like arachne). It would be cool if depending on what boons you have, you would fight their rival titan like Oceanus vs Poseidon etc
A couple things- It seems we can guess that one more weapon will be the Sickle shown on the title screen. Also, I think there will be co-op, but not only Mel and Zag, but I have this feeling that maybe after game completion you’d be able to unlock other gods or NPCs as playable characters each with their own loadout of weapons and attacks. The devs have shown that they go above and beyond as far as content, and I’m sure they’re going to like at least quadruple their efforts from the first game to this one. I’m sure they’re going to pour every ounce of energy into this and just blow us all away
I wouldnt be surprised if there were three places you go to before going into the underworld (second hub?) To fight your way down like Zag had to fight his way up. It would also be sick if- after you rescued him- Zag could be one of the gods who gives you boons.
It's interesting to hear that the game will have so much content for the initial early access. I expected it be similar to Hades 1 when it originally started early access (on Epic Games Store) where the game ended after beating the hydra in Asphodel. Guess it's a lot further along than I realised!
My speculation: We’ll encounter Zagreus as a boss, but it’s not really him. It’s a mirror image of him conjured up by Mnemosyne (titan goddess of memory) maybe. Whatever the method, I get the feeling Melinoë’s journey will be more about learning about her family and *why* she’s fighting. Building her humanity, and learning to use it as a strength alongside her general “live for the war” kind of attitude.
I certainly hope full release isn’t as late as next year, no way I’m waiting that long to play on console and I don’t have the money to shell out for a new gaming laptop or even a steam deck
Story spoiler While I don't think we will be getting a co-op, mostly because I don't wanna get my hopes up, I do think that the possibility is there with the existence of Zagreus. This also coincides with my theory that there could potentially be two types of games we see. The first half of the game is you as Melinoe fighting your way into Hades to rescue Hades, Persephone and of course Zagreus. The second half of the game however, would have you doing the opposite. Fighting your way from the surface up to Olympus to defeat Chronos, and this time the potential for co-op opens up, where you get to have Zagreus join you (assuming there is some in story reason as to why he could now roam the surface unlike before, likely the fates making it possible). This is all a crackpot theory of course, but I think it could be neat.
I think Hecate is not being honest about the nature of the conflict, and Zagreus, et al. have no idea that Melinoë exists and that this game is running parallel to the first. Final boss Zag or Hades again.
Crazy theory about game: You will be able to unlock playable zagreus together with all his weapons. I don't know much about how Hades 2 was developed but it seems similar enough to the first. Zagreus is right there he just needs a few tweaks to work on the new system and boons
Also there'd be more content because there are two ways to start a run. Maybe we'll go there as well when the run to the below is completed with new setups and stuff.
I feel like co-op would be an impossibility given that some of the omega powers actually slow time (at least for the enemies). Time-slowing mechanisms pose a weird challenge for multiplayer action. And I think this is also the reason why the game looks slower-paced, omega powers will slow down the action which gives the player a chance to line up a shot (can't remember if this slowing effect is present only because of an arcana card or if it's merely increased by that card). This makes the gameplay somewhat reminiscent of Transistor, which had a lot of strategy mechanisms built into time-stopping. However, Transistor also had a battle between two characters with time-stopping capability, so that line of thought could nullify everything I just said about multiplayer being off the table.
It’d be cool if Melinoe always used the single-dash/sprint system and Zagreus brought back the old double dash system to separate the two movesets a bit more
STORY PREDICTION! In Hades 1 the writers would sometimes explain away conflicting real world myths or aspects of the gods that would make them unsympathetic by having the in game characters explain that the real world myth is a cover story or lie. Examples include Persephone’s “cursed pomegranates” myth being a lie within Hades 1 canon, or real life conflicting myths being chocked up to Dionysus lying about who the “real father” is. In real world myth, on rare occasions it’s said that Melinoë was secretly father by Zeus, not Hades, as Zeus disguised himself as Hades to impregnated Persephone. In Hades 2, Mel has never met her family, and none of the Olympians knew about her until the start of the game. While this real world inconsistency in parentage could be ignored by the writers, or may be joked about in some dialogue on full release, there is a non zero chance that Hecate is lying to Melinoë about Hades being her father in order to spur her to kill Chronos/Kronus
one thing you haven’t talked about that I found interesting is how in the dialogues they talk about a traitor, do you think it might be one of the characters in Hades 1?
There seems to be some confusion between Chronos (God of Time) and Kronos (King of the Titans), and I wonder if it's a deliberated choice or if there will be some explanations later on ? It would be surprising that supergiant games just mixed up the two characters considering the work they put into their research for Hades 1
Nah they said when Hades 1 hit Steam for the first time, it's in the Hades 2 FAQ: "The game will have at least as much content from day one in Early Access as the original did back when it launched in Early Access on Steam."
Theory: Melinoe keeps going all the way to the top of Mt. Olympus to find Zagreus standing there saying nothing but dot dot dot and then let out a Lv.80 Pikachu.
I have a feeling you'll be able to play coop after you clear your 1st run and save Zagreus. From there, the 2nd player will be able to play Zagreus in coop.
I had a bug in Hades 1 that never allowed me to progress the last heart of Aphrodite, so if anyone wants to keep me up to track with what happens when you unlock last heart with her, I would appreciate it. I can't find that info anywhere nor find videos on youtube with that dialogue. (For context, I have pretty much completed the game aside from some of the decorations and 32 heat statue, and have read every single helpful article I can find about Aphrodite's last heart. I have met every requirement and so on, so it is confirmed a bug). I just want to get all the story dialogue before I move to Hades 2
I've got early access so I came back to watch the rest of the video. I have a theory that.... Somehow, probably through some sort of mind washing or maybe sort of copy ability, Cronus will make Zagreus, Persephone, and Hades the bosses of each region. Cronus will only be able to be fought in the second dungeon, ascending Olympus.
Spoilers: Its Hades 2 baby! Of course there's going to be 2 player! Melinoë is going to rescue/unlock Zag at some point and he'll be a fully playable character with other stats
I wonder how the bow will work. Before you hold it down to charge up for power shot but in H2 you hold down attack to charge up a super move which uses mana. So will power shot use mana?
I could have sworn that Hades released early access on the Epic Games Store way earlier than having all 4 biomes. I remember there only being Tartarus and meg at first with the shield having a hammer that increased its damage for every bounce it did. And then that immediately breaking when they released Asphodel since there aren't technically any walls there. Am I on crazy pills?
There was never any public build that just had Tartarus. Hades 1 launched into early access on Epic Games Store (exclusively) in December 2018, it came to Steam December 2019. The reference point for Hades 2 is the Steam launch so that's what I talked about in the video.
@@Haelian I might have been a part of the technical test then... I've been an enormous fan of supergiant since bastion so I've been on their mailing list since transistor at least. It's just been so long since Hades was going through it's build-up that my memories are rather hazy
Hades 1 released in Steam EA with just Meg/Lernie as bosses, zones 3 and 4 weren't in the game yet, nor were all the weapons. That said: Supergiant has old Blizzard status imo. These guys can do no wrong and they haven't done anything yet to prove otherwise. I have no reason to believe Hades 2 is going to be anything other than stunning.
The FAQ specifically states that Hades 2 will have as much content or more than Hades 1 did after the *Steam* launch, which was 1 year after the initial early access start (which was an Epic Games exclusive).
The painting (or poster as haelian called it) seems a bit weird to me. Hades, the father, is in the background, while Zag is in the front and lit up. Makes me feel like Mel is more related to Zag than Hades, making them her father and grandfather respectively. Might just be my weird sense of composition. So far we have no sign of Zag being the father, but no direct confirmations of Hades being that too. Don't know what such a twist would add to the story, kinda meaningless

anyone notice how Melinoe, Hecate, Artemis, and Selene all have the orange, black, and green braids in their character designs? I guess it's cause they're all connected to the moon and magic or witchcrafts? as personifications of the moon. Since Selene's dialogue calls Melinoe a "Silver sister?" like the silver moon
Thaaaaat would be dope as hell and makes so much sense. I love all of the Moon Goddesses!
This is my roundabout way of praying for Circe to make some kind of appearance
town-building system where you need to fulfil a quota of rescued shades before you're allowed to expand the crossroads
If Circe and Medea don’t make an appearance, I’d be surprised. They’re the most famous sorceresses in Greek mythology
Odysseus is already there so collecting participants of the siege of Troy would make a lot of sense. Man I hope this happens
you go down to save hades ( first type of run) and then you go up to save olympus( second type of run). 2 sets of biomes. It would be cool. More bosses, more variety, more gods, MOOOOOREEEEE. Thanks for the video.
Obs: even if we later find out this is not true, i'm still super excited to play the sequel, whatever they decide to do i'm sure it will be a banger.
Im sure Hades will be saved last, if at all.
My prediction is that youd save each member of the house at a time
I agree, but its been said there are three ways out of the crossroads, and I wonder if mel might venture back to the house of hades the traditional way from hades 1 as well after the other two are complete
My even crazier theory is that we eventually rescue Zag, and on top of having different types of runs, we can choose between Zag and Mel. The next best thing would just be getting Zag boons.
This is possible considering the aqua themed dungeon shown on the teaser trailer
I want Zag to be controlled by Chronos and be a Boss. Each time you run across him it's a different load out from the first game.
my long shot theory: endgame boons from Zagreus
Endgame theory: Playable Zag after the main story.
@@graysonfenwick2701 The feminists at Supergiant wouldn’t make him playable because they think it takes away from Mel’s spotlight

Can't wait.
I've only recently got into Hades 1 and been loving it! Can't wait to see more about Hades 2 and i hope we'll get to see some info about Chaos
I'm so excited for Early Access. Hades II will be an immediate PC buy for me. Then, when full release comes around on other platforms, I'll probably buy it on Switch or PS5 as well. Looking forward to staying tuned in to Haelian too. ✨️
**Spoiler**
I wouldn't be surprised if the path down goes to Tartarus and it turns out Kronos isn't there and then the path going up unlocks and then you have to fight your way up to Mt Olympus.
I'd expect something like going down to tartarus unlocks one weapon/aspect set, and then completing the climb to olympus unlocks another set.
I know this is a video of you just talking but the quality is immaculate nice
I am really liking Melinoë's character - really hoping we see solid character development as we go through runs as well!

@@Haelian aphrodite from hades 1, yes, but not from hades 2 come on haelian she has a new design
That would invalid some of Hades 1
@@dylanpyle6500 how so? If they just do a few rooms with a few enemies, how does that make an entire game pointless?
@@xraenon1664 no it's the weaking of the bosses
@@dylanpyle6500 … I still fail to see how making an enemy based off a boss from the past invalidates a past game. Hell, some games do this in just one title
I think it would be cool if after beating Chronos for the first time, you could receive boons from the - now freed - Zag or Hades, or the family as a whole. They did a similar thing with having to reach the surface to see Demeter in Hades 1 so I think it could be possible.
I disagree
An interesting detail and perhaps a spoiler is when you try to "give up" on the run, through the menu.
A voice can be heard laughing.
Oooh that's ominous
That was the same case in the first game, though it was definitely Hades’ voice. The one you hear in the second game is likely Kronos
Yep I got a short posted of it here on the channel.
Yeah, we're almost certainly getting more Gods. It's pretty scarce right now
I think we'll get at least 5 more olympians.
The is no good @@ndemers
Easily my most anticipated game this year. Cant wait 🎉🎮
I relied way to much on Divine Dash. Hopefully Athena makes it into the game.
For a second I got Chronos and Chaos mixed up. I was thinking “what happened? We were homies”
Cannot wait what they will do with Hera.
A couple things-
It seems we can guess that one more weapon will be the Sickle shown on the title screen.
The title screen shows the Sister Blades weapon that's already in the tech test.
@@Haelian Haha shit yeah I realized that after I left the comment 🤣
LFG. Loved this video. Cant wait for EA!
I would like to see zagreus and his weapons olayable after you beat the main story. Doubt it would happen, but would be cool haha.
I would love to see a vs leader board to compare our times against our friends in hades 2
I think there is a non zero chance we get a playable Zagreus.
Story spoiler
While I don't think we will be getting a co-op, mostly because I don't wanna get my hopes up, I do think that the possibility is there with the existence of Zagreus.
Que saw the picture 😊
So excited!!!!
My crackpot theory is that at some point in the game we will fight Zag as a boss. In this case Zag is brainwash by chronos to think he on his side.
I hope not other wize unless he is weakened like a lot he will not be defeated
@@dylanpyle6500 ye zag is older and thus much stronger so bros gonna be a menace if we gotta fight him

Bro I really hope so
It’d be cool if Melinoe always used the single-dash/sprint system and Zagreus brought back the old double dash system to separate the two movesets a bit more
And if not that, he could possibly be another god we can get boons from (and possibly Hades himself as well).
i dont get why so many people want coop in hades
It's not something I personally desire myself but it's clear there's a large audience who want it.

Penultimate biome will be battling through a ruined house of Hades, basically fighting through the lobby of the first game
one thing you haven’t talked about that I found interesting is how in the dialogues they talk about a traitor, do you think it might be one of the characters in Hades 1?
One thing I hope, more bioms! Give us more bioms, please
I think there's going to be a bit of time travel, with a past, present, and future variant to some runs.
There's a mod on nexus to do infinite runs in the technical test
ayo quick question they will ad the pics for the keepsakes later?
Assumedly yes
There seems to be some confusion between Chronos (God of Time) and Kronos (King of the Titans), and I wonder if it's a deliberated choice or if there will be some explanations later on ? It would be surprising that supergiant games just mixed up the two characters considering the work they put into their research for Hades 1
I could be wrong but I thought the developers said the early access for H2 would have as much content as H1's 1.0 release. I'm not sure tho.
Nah they said when Hades 1 hit Steam for the first time, it's in the Hades 2 FAQ:
"The game will have at least as much content from day one in Early Access as the original did back when it launched in Early Access on Steam."
@@Haelian Upon further inspection, I am incorrect, ignore my blatant misinformation.
Appreciate the major spoiler warning. I wanted all the prior info without compromising my ability to enjoy my first run.
In your opinion, should a casual player get the early access or wait until the full release?
I had a bug in Hades 1 that never allowed me to progress the last heart of Aphrodite, so if anyone wants to keep me up to track with what happens when you unlock last heart with her, I would appreciate it. I can't find that info anywhere nor find videos on youtube with that dialogue. (For context, I have pretty much completed the game aside from some of the decorations and 32 heat statue, and have read every single helpful article I can find about Aphrodite's last heart. I have met every requirement and so on, so it is confirmed a bug). I just want to get all the story dialogue before I move to Hades 2
I think there's gonna be a mode where you get to play as zag again and use all his stuff again
Thanks for the informaiton
My theory is that you are going to be able to hold l and r on your save file and be able to play as zagreus

Part of me thinks co-op will be a thing once u have saved/unlock Zagreus and then both u and Zag can do runs together.
Ngl I have a feeling they're gonna make it to where you can play as Zag (hopefully not as a new game +)
Is it gonna be available on apple devices like hades 1?
It took a few years to bring Hades 1 to mobile, not sure what they have planned for the sequel but it will probably be a while.
What about Hera ? :0
i had to tell you, there's been a huge update for death must die.

It does in general, but in that case it's not really an early access and more of a demo, so it's 50/50
Yes! I certainly can't speak for every game, some might reset but I haven't seen it very much. Hades 1 carried over.
Is Chronos supposed to be Cronus (Hades, Zeus & Poseidon’s father) or are they being seen as separate Titans?

Yo Haelian just loved the video and want to ask a thing, Do you have any idea that when will pre order come out
I don't think they've ever done preorders.
Hmm wondering where Nyx is
Hera is also missing as a god, she's one of the olympians
i hope there's an endless mode after beating the game!
One thing that mildly bothers me is that they use Roman numerals for the arcana cards in a story about Greek mythology
Hades 1 released in Steam EA with just Meg/Lernie as bosses, zones 3 and 4 weren't in the game yet, nor were all the weapons.
That said:
Supergiant has old Blizzard status imo.
Really hope the missing gods do appear
if all of the olympian gods are in this game, shouldn't the goddess Hera be part of it too in the future?
Dora is definitely Pandora
The painting (or poster as haelian called it) seems a bit weird to me. Hades, the father, is in the background, while Zag is in the front and lit up. Makes me feel like Mel is more related to Zag than Hades, making them her father and grandfather respectively. Might just be my weird sense of composition. So far we have no sign of Zag being the father, but no direct confirmations of Hades being that too. Don't know what such a twist would add to the story, kinda meaningless
