    Good info. I agree with the narrowband is almost useless but is more useless because of the gauge. I used narrowband sensor for carb tune on motorcycle but i used multi meter to measure the mV not the gauge. It helped me but the problem that the narrowband as you say is that gives you small voltage range and the real useful range is 150mV between 0-1v, even with multi meter must be cautious. I use it i changed the main and the needle position and i remove the sensor. For something like this the choice is the narrowband, cheap fast easy and remove. For everything else the winner is the wideband. The big issues that i learned when i used the measures is that the most numbers you can find at charts for rich lean is for efi not carbs. I learned later that the carbs must works at the rich side for a sensor. A good mixture reading on a efi is too lean for a carb

    I never even heard of a narrow band. Nice explanation! Thank you!

      Narrow band are waste of money especially for the price for an autometer

    I'm curious to see just how much better (more accurate) the wideband is over the other.
    Install both side by side and let's check it out. Don't tell us, show us.

    I am wondering if I should get mechanical or Digital for A/F WIdeband? It seems that most recommend Mechnaical for Boost and Digital for Oil pressure so you don't risk oil leaking in the cabin. But what about the Wideband A/F Ratio gauge? Are digital or Mechanical gauges better for A/F ratio gauges? Thanks!

    • @PoorManMods
      @PoorManMods  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are only digital widebands to my knowledge

    I like that gauge a little better than my AEM UEGO. It has a wider range and the numbers seem to be a bit more steady

      I like it too, our install video of this gauge will be out in a few days, keep your eyes peeled for it!

    How is the prosports gauge holding up? There' a lot of negative reviews on the AEM wideband on their amazon page dating Jan 2020 to present.

    Hey man is necessary to put ATF meter on a stock 7mgte engine?

    • @PoorManMods
      @PoorManMods  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ATF? Do you mean AFR? If so, its not entirely necessary on a 100% stock car, but it certainly wont hurt. They would help with troubleshooting though if you run into spark or fuel issues. When you start to modify they are totally necessary to make sure your fuel mixture is correct and you dont kill your engine.

    WHAT IS IT TRUE in the video you increase the engine speed ..., AFR leans in different directions ... and in your car meter are the same engine revolutions around 900RPM ..hiii

      so basically a wideband tells you exactly how rich or lean you are ok so would that narrowband tell u yourw rich but not how rich you are you can be a little rich or alot rich do I understand this right....... I have a 50cc that narrowband looks like it will work just right for me all I need to know is if I'm lean, rich or stoic ..... I don't care if I a little stoic as long as I'm stoic I'm fine ........please respond as I'm trying to get this right
