I thought you were going to loose a finger getting that splinter taken out. Especially when I saw that big knife blade get pulled. Glad to see you ended up with all your digits.
Sounds like really good plan - Nero out and camping at base before early climb tomorrow. I’m nervous for you guys (hearing about footprints straight up and no switchbacks)!! 🤞
Switchbacks would have been worse! All the traverses across side hills are sketchy, at best. The climb up was actually fun. Back down was terrifying, for me at least.
A Chap.. since that camp area and hwy is closed..how come you didn't cowboy camp on the blacktop parking space.. better for your back👍🏼 Go Chap Go! 👟😎👍🏼
Highest point south of the Sierras. I have climbed it as a kid, but don't remember it. I wish your pack was 10 lbs. lighter...Good luck, even though it has already happened or not.
Wow! That's a lite pack. My normal day pack weight is at least 30 and sometimes 35lbs. I need to learn how to get that weight down. :/ I hope you all did the Baden-Powell route and not the road walk. That trail is one of my favorites. In snow I just go straight up and then follow the ridgeline to the summit. It turns the 4 mile point to point hike to the summit into a 2.5 mile point to point. The road walk would suck!!
Yes, not even close to the same as the AT. This trail is beautiful, but I have zero desire to ever hike it again. On the other hand, I can’t wait to do the AT again.
I wish I would have looked into hiking the AT when I was younger. We stayed at Roan mt state park. Last yr. Did get to walk on it about a mile and did some dreaming. Keep on keep’n on
love the hike but could you include food shots I like them
Hiker just wants to carry some apple juice but no, looks like pee! 😂😂😂
Poor Plus One! 😂
He said “ I swear” 😅
I love how you guys are doing the whole trail only reason i watch 😂 , backing out is fine , but trying is worth everything
Quesadilla - “case-a-dee-ya” 😊
Damn this trail stresses me out 😂😅 best of luck in the morning 🥾🥾🗻⛰️🏔️
Sounds like a pretty solid plan. I'm sure you've already made it, and you're laughing and having fun at your next zero day by now. 😊
Aww-just chew that splinter out! 😂
Those flying cat things in the "Racoon Saloon" were kind of terrifying.
Didn't realize I was watching a medical video. 🤣 Nice how y'all help each other.
That was Mt Baldy.
Chap did you get the sense that Roadrunner just wanted to pull out that Crocodile Dundee knife?
We have every confidence you can do the mountain. :)

BP is one of the best hikes in SoCal. Have fun! ☮️
Adventure continues 😊

Cars could come from one direction.
Good luck on the hike thought I guess you've already completed it, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow video to see how it went

We hiked it!
Average pack weight out here is probably 25-40 pounds with 4ish days of food and 3-4 liters of water.
Whoa... must comment on the quesadilla pronunciation. 😂
kay·suh·dee·uh
I also will say it like that to either be funny or just to say it in English 😂
The suspense is killing me. It is such a different vibe then the AT
