@@elstonmartina6842 Very simple. Just throw in the feed inside the pond. It will land on water because there are spaces in-between the plant. It's not like it covers the entire pond like a tarpaulin. So once you throw in the feed into the water you'll see the fish rushing out to eat them.
@@Michaelkaydee That's one angle. We're focusing on how it contributes positively to fishpond farming. Everything has positive and negative side, though one side may outweigh the other.
@@yakubuenitola2020 It's very simple. Just discharge the water from the outlet like you used to do when the pond did not have water hyacinth. The plant won't go anywhere. It won't flow out at all. Then you replace the water as usual.
I don't know where u are . Pls don't let that plant get to your local River bcos it's destructive and it's not from this region of Africa , it also destroy any ecosystem it finds its way to
Yes they can survive in that environment. Even fingerlings can survive but you don't put them there because you know you have to sort them like three or four times and water hyacinth won't allow that to be easily done. Also, the juvenile fish has to be sorted first before introducing them into a pond with water hyacinth. Or you can just put the water hyacinth into the pond where the juvenile fish are. So, yes, juvenile fish can survive in a pond with water hyacinth.
You either go to a swamp or look for someone in a city or state close to you who also has it. It can be sent through transportation and they'll survive for at least 48 hours on the road.

@@drabbottafadzwachikosi9067 No we don't do water filtration. We have not had need for that. Yes we change water but that's fine rarely. But the water is like their natural environment and the fish also feed on the faeces of the insects that perch on the water hyacinth.
