    Thank you! I’ve had a difficult time finding much information on the Greenstalk being used specifically for onions. I was concerned the pockets wouldn’t be big enough to grow big onions. I’m very excited now to see this will work!

    I plant onion sets 5 inches deep because I love to eat them as spring onions or salad onions... which is like a giant green onion! They have so much flavor!

    what did you mean by cure? do you have to buy new onion bulbs each year?

  • @6mindbraker
    @6mindbraker 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you have to feed onion other than water?
    I bought my stackable planter 9months ago, ( using your code, thanks!) planted salad leaves, lettuce and Broccoli. I used fish and kelp liquid to help feed the plants, ended up so much fruits bugs. Broccoli was not good idea(should’ve used deeper style)
    so, I am assuming that liquid plant food is not a good idea...(?)

      Yes, you can get the spinner for your planter. Moving/rotating the planter is a breeze with one. We use the back /lower tiers for shade loving plants.

    Can u cut the green growth and eat it while the onion is growing. Not all, bit maybe half? Also, can u harvest as needed and eat fresh from the garden or does it need to be cured?

      I never grow mine to big bulbs. I plant them 5" deep and get lots of delicious green... Like a giant green onion. They taste better than any other onion I've ever had!

    This growing stack is ideal for black berries so they never stray just keep winding the branches or cutting them for control 🥳🤨

      Plant in Fall or Spring means your seedlings should be up and running by October (Fall) or March (Spring). Hope that helps!

      A good place to start is Burpee seeds, Park seeds and Annies heirloom seeds. I have used all three with success. Just make sure you research the seeds that match your planting zone. That is the most important tip I can give, something zoned for 8 won't grow well in 10.

      Use Onion seeds, they are much better, cheaper and more seeds as well. The seeds look similar to kalonji seeds.
