Forgot to add regarding Body Blows on Team 17 cart, its a nightmare on here as the Y button resets the game. It's way too easy to hit it causing massive frustration.
Good video Crazy! There could be hope for Quak with the arcade stick, any game that uses UP to jump, remap the controls, put UP on a spare button so UP then becomes the spare button. Good to know many of the pooter games play fine with the stick. Cheers! 👍
Being used to consoles, I always preferred playing Amiga with a Sega pad. But later on I realised shoot ‘em ups were well suited to stick as well. I’m Swedish, and from this video I picked up that “solid” isn’t always a positive word, right? When you called Body Blows and Full Contact, what did “solid” indicate? I used to believe solid means that something is of good quality (apart from the “thick density” meaning).
I have been loving earth defense force via VS-R with an 8bitdo arcade stick. It works great. Just plug and play! I can even power the vsr from a USB port on my TV. These bartop machines really appeal to me, but don't align with my current budget, unfortunately. Hopefully, they will continue production long enough for my budget to adjust and accommodate.
@@CatFish107 I power my VS from the TV as well. Think it's probably recommended that you use a direct mains supply right enough. There's no doubt some games are great fun on the Alpha. But its still a novelty product. Not sure it'll ever be my main thing to play evercade. I wished I had more space for these as well. Definitely hope this is a one off for Blaze. Regular Alphas and I'm out. Can't get any more of these.

We played home computers on joysticks 🕹️ so it makes sense..joypads came with Nintendo and sega and was a new way to play
Fantastic video and very much in line with my thoughts when playing on my own DIY Alpha. Thanks and keep up the awesome work!

@@bjornh1527 Ah.. lol apologies. When I say Solid. That's means it's tough, hard. Very difficult games.
Yeah, I figured it was solid difficulty but couldn’t be sure 😁
@bjornh1527 I'm so sorry. Sometimes forget my gibberish might not make sense to everyone.
@@CrazyBurger No worries, the gibberish gives videos your distinct flavour, keep it up! 😁
Alright! Let's see if the Burg drives some 8 bit tractors?

Does the "rapid fire" feature work with these carts??
@@GaggleofDoozies Yes many games now have the turbo fire feature from the latest firmware update. Mapped to Y.
Bridge strike seemed unnaturally dark. Was it a night mission, or is it something with the scanlines?
@@CZpersi It was the night mission.
