I have been an Audiophile for a long time. I bought me these Bose Companion 2's for my pc. Was not happy that it did not have deep bass sound. So I got me some 40 dollar speakers that had a sub woofer. So I ended up giving my Bose Companion 2's to a friend who needed PC speakers. Then, I started to miss the sound of the Bose Companion 2's. So I bought a new set of Bose Companion 2's and ditched the 40 dollar speakers. I will never again buy a different set of computer speakers. Thanks for this review, you really know your sound quality. The true test of these speakers IS Classical music.
Yeah, I don't see why not. You would need to split the output of the device two ways with a Y adapter and go that way. Use the exact same cables with both sets of speakers though so they'll have the best chance of syncing up well.

@iJGQ For rap music, but that's not really my thing. I prefer the crisper, less bass driven Bose products.

C2 is awesome man. $99 from BestBuy and they sound really good for the size. Also makes the desk and room look clean and professional.

i have a second monitor and sometimes I want to close my laptop and just use the monitor and mouse, but the laptop falls asleep how does yours work

@MrJphs You need to have an external mouse and keyboard connected to it (wired or wireless), have it plugged into power, and plugged into the powered on monitor. Then shut the lid. It'll go to sleep, but you can wake it with the keyboard and mouse and use it in clamshell mode like I am.
@Tonyenriquezstudio Both are great, and the 2s are much cheaper than the 3s, as I'm sure you've noticed. Personally, I feel that the 2s are just fine. Talk to my friend @fulmer4tech who, I believe, owns both sets of speakers and can more accurately distinguish them for you!

I think the amount of bass is perfect!
I was planning to get these for my laptop. My music taste is like ambient, world, fusion, classical (Mainly listen to Conjure One, Delerium, Dead Can Dance etc).
I have listened to Klipsch ProMedia and they sound phenominal. Sure they are double the price of Bose, and Klipsch is a renowned brand among audiophiles and hi end audio, why would you recommend these over ProMedia.
Please help me with my buying decision.

Great video, I'm really thinking about buying a set of them I've been using a classic set of sony sava 7 at my desktop and think it's time to get with the new age but i want to go with something i know will give me bass when needed and highs that wont let down,

Hi Ryan, excellent review!... Yesterday I was at the store watching these speakers, I tried to compare them with the companion 3 series II, but the place was too loud. Here in TH-cam I've seen reviews for the two models, but I want you to give me an advise and decide for one of these two models..

So with these speakers feel good bass? I want to be sure, because I love reggae music and i really like the low-frequency :)
These speakers do have pretty good bass for their size, but they aren't crazy. I love reggae as well, and these have never disappointed me though!
