    Hi mate, I usually turbo the weeds but it does produce a lot of sand and muck. But the question is that I weed kill after the clean. So do you think that it’s better the 7 days before with the weed killer? I tend to travel a bit as in a rural area and fuel costs are high just now.
    Great shout about the boards, seen some the other day attached to a pallet so would not get blown over or nicked I suppose.
    Great work as always Ash. 👍

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The weed killer is absorbed through the leaves into the roots, so yes, it needs to be applied a week before. You could explain this to the customer. Maybe give them the option to do it themselves or offer to do it for them for a small extra charge.👍🏼

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Matt moriarty I think this was about one and a half bags. It all depends on the job and how you rinse. The more you use the turbo lance, the more sand you will disturb, and the more you rinse away, the more you will have to replace.😃👍🏼

    Hi Ash really enjoy your videos, I've bought a fsc but not used it yet. Will it clean block paving with moss as good as a turbo lance?
    Would you clean block paving on max pressure?
    Tia

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Justin Brown The idea is to cover as much as you can with the fsc. The jets are angled slightly so that only the top layer of sand is removed from between the blocks. If the weeds are bad, it doesn’t always get them out, that’s where a bit of extre attention with the turbo lance comes in, but I try and keep this to a minimum.😃👍🏼

    I'm just getting into pressure washing, what equipment should I start off on a budget? Thanks

    • @LancashireProClean
      @LancashireProClean 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      i wouldn't bother if your budget is small i would save up more. the bigger the machine the faster you can work, if you get a small machine it will take you forever to do a job and because of the time involved you wont be making much money. Honda or Briggs and Stratton are good engines. Interpump or AR are the best pumps and a gearbox is a must.pressure and litres per min is king but must have the symbol @ in there. for example mine is 200 bar @ 30 litres per min watch the videos on here from Q washers Damian really knows his stuff. i like you was going to start off small after watching all his videos i decided to wait now i have a big machine and aim glad i waited

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, it’s worth getting a decent machine from a reputable supplier. It will do a decent job, last you longer, and you will have someone to help with parts and maintenance. I put a link in the description to the video about the machine I use.😃👍🏼

    And how do you 'price' for these kind of jobs?

    • @LancashireProClean
      @LancashireProClean 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      sorry aim jumping in when you asked Ashley the question but its linked to the last one. it depends on what you want to earn per hour or per square meter.lets say for augments sake you want to earn 100 pounds per hour pressure washing.you price up a job with your smaller machine which you think will take you 3 hours.i go with my bigger machine and price the same job at the same hourly rate i think it will take me 1 and 1/2 hours.so really you would have to work at 50 per hour and i could work for 100 per hour, and if its block paving quotes should always include re-sanding because its part of the job its not a add-on it has to be done for the stability of the drive way.

    • @aemackintosh
