Nice worke. It's like it never happened. I got the big V-Rex Bust from ebay. It was well packed but not the original Styropor form. It broke a the neck. So i bought 2part epoxy glue (150kg/cm2 ...working time 5min) and put it on the edges. It's fixed now and is invisble too because it also filled small cracks. But i hope it holds overall because i didn't ad any kind of extra enhancement inside. Normally the resin glue should attatch with the resin of the bust like it's one piece.
Amazing repair, great work! Man I love free form air but the fumes give me a headache. I have to use it outside if at all. Aves has never done me dirty like that.
Never even have fumes or a smell coming from my free form air but it could be smooth on products that effect you since I have been told this before some cant use their items without reactions.
You can use that foam from home depot, but it really doesn't work well if you don have a large opening and it tends to collect at the bottom and crystalize. Also if your item is egg shell and you spray into a tiny hole can pop the item and crack. Ive use it in the past but without that large opening it doesn't expand correctly. Smooht on makes a expand foam which works a lot better but have to funnel it in and have a good opening so it doesn't expand and go all over the item.
Great video John...ever tried filling it with aluminum foil vs. fiberglass? I notice a lot of people start sculpts by using foil before moving to clay.
I used foil in the past but with really large items, so it can work as well if you wanted to use it, I just wanted to secure it a bit better since it hangs over the feet so much.
Very cool to see the work you did, so the king could regained his head. Hail to the king, baby!!

Should be fine if you used enough glue. I just go further with my repairs cause of shipping and longer term security for people.
Nice work!

Great work , do you think if a foam spray will work to fill inside the broken statue?
