    I'm all for gay marriage..I supported it when I lived in Massachusetts and I lobbied for it in California. We must keep our eyes on ALL of our rights though, so please, regardless of who you vote for....never refuse to stand up.

    I think voting for Obama isn't just for further improving us as a country, but also as human beings and as a society. Romney would throw away any progress that Obama has made and kick this country into full reverse. I learned what tolerance was on my own at a young age after Ellen came out and was discussing her hate mail during an interview. What Obama has done may seem small to some, but all together they are HUGE steps in the right direction, and it can only get better. Obama 2012!

    Outstanding and compelling video!! Married mom of 3 here. My husband and I are so happy our children will grow up knowing that their President took a stand for what is right and that our country is moving forward. We raised them to believe that ALL are created equal. Now they see how it should be always.

    Weather you like it or not, WE ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE ONE! Gay, straight, bi, black, white, mexican, transgender, polka dotted, half-animal...were all going to the SAME place when we die which is heaven- our own heaven. It does not matter what religion you are- religion is man-made. Thank you Obama for being a man and standing up for us as a whole. And for the people who support anti-gay rights and hate...open your eyes and get over it.

    When Obama said that he supported gay marriage I cried and I'm not even gay but one of my best friends is, and his parents don't approve of it. He was all depressed because of lack of parental support, but when Obama said that it made him feel so much better. He felt equal, and like his rights matter just as much as everyone else's do. Living in a state that isn't supportive of gay rights, it reassures us all that things truly are changing weather conservatives want to believe it or not.

    I'm from the UK and I'm voting for Obama haha!
    My country Scotland recently voted to allow gay marriage and I'm very proud of this. I'm a Christian heterosexual and the reason I tell you this is because people should see that you don't need to be gay to support gay rights, and the God I believe in is a loving God.
    Some of my best friends are gay and I can't wait to be there on their wedding day.

    It does make a difference. A huge difference. When you're told by your own family, the very people who are supposed to care for you unconditionally, that you don't deserve the same as everyone else does, even the simplest of words from someone like Obama makes a huge difference. I'm not a political person. I don't enjoy politics in the least. But I will stand by Obama on no uncertain terms for the very fact that he has stood by me.

    This was awesome. Gays have been under attack for FAR too long, and now we finally have a president that supports gay marriage. Or, as it should be known, marriage. We cannot move backwards. We, as a nation, gay, straight, bi, and transgender, must reelect President Obama and move Forward to fight the good fight- one for equal rights for all. Thank you, President Obama for believing in equality for all!

    I had already planned to vote for him again.
    People try to say his support of the LGBT community is only to help him get re-elected but it's not the popular view on a lot of the country and the compassion him and his wife and shown has been from day one and not just around election time.
    I think the capacity for compassion, empathy and good is something innate for most and has to be taught to others... I don't think Romney has even learned it yet.

  • @0kittenkittenkitten0
    @0kittenkittenkitten0 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I get emotional every time a leader like Obama is accepting of the LGBT community. It means so much to me to know that there are figures like him out there that accept me and want me to have the same rights as everyone else.

    People always try to tell me one way or another why I should vote for someone, and I tell them I'm voting for Barack Obama because I care most about social issues. No matter what happens in the economy or whatever, if our country still doesn't have basic human rights like the right to marry who we want or the right to our own bodies (women's reproductive rights) then how can we expect to move forward on any other issues. Barack Obama 2012.
