I was there, man. I was 17 years old, and sometimes the dust would rise everytime the 200,000 people jumped together. I know you would have enjoyed as much as I did. Thanks for the video, you are a great guy. Hugs from Brazil!
Dang this was the first song I heard by them. Then hallowed be thy name and then I did a deep dive. My favorite songs by them is blood brothers, fear of the dark, hallowed be thy name, wasting love, infinite dreams and children of the damned.
Preston, you should watch the Iron Maiden documentary. Bruce (the lead singer) literally piloted, flew their plane for the tour and they went to places most bands won't go. It's such an amazing documentary. I love them so much.
Bruce got a pilots licence when the band had a brief split and he thought he may need a new career but he has to be almost one of the coolest people can perform like this fly a passenger airliner and owns a ww1 replica plane and as you say flew the band on tour
Hey Preston, I just found your channel and you've made my day. It's so nice to see new fans appreciating Iron Maiden. I've been a fan for 30 years and they're still going strong. Have a blessed day!
I've seen Maiden 7 times over the years starting way back in the mid 80's and they are hands down the best live shows I've ever seen. Hard core energy from start to finish.
Absolutely, so many phonies on here that don’t put in the effort to at least try and pretend they trying to understand songs meanings. Nevermind the details he picked up on!!! Badly misses
Just wait til you see The Clansman..live from Rock in Rio..you will smile..laugh and rock..Maiden is my 2nd fave live band after KISS...you will give them a hold on bruhhhhh ..a gods award and a flawless victory..to The Clansman

@@studuckson Without doubt the best live album ever. I love the studio versions but the live version is absolutely incredible. Rime of the ancient mariner live is Maiden at their best!
I. Was. There!! 😊Was an amazing night, the other bands were great too! Over 250 thousand people (there are weird different numbers for that night though) . All peaceful, just wanting to rock, to roll and to roar. Was great great great. A memorable night and I'm glad my 23 year old self made the right choice (if you knew how far away from everything that festival took place you'd understand it was a big choice for me lol)
My abiding memory of all the Maiden gigs I've been to is the permanent smile or laughter throughout the whole show on my face. Its an absolute joy to see them live and I'd recommend it to anyone. Bruce Dickinson is STILL leaping about as we speak ! I want some of what he's had please. Seriously bro,get to an Iron Maiden show, even if you have to drive, walk or fly, or all 3,you'll be blown away.
I don't think that I enjoy anything more than coming back from a hard days work, sit down, open a beer (or 5), smoke a little one and listen to some music with you, my man! I do it everyday!!! You're a true one, Preston!
I've seen them shortly after Bruce had beaten cancer and despite having gone through a tough treatment his energy level still was through the roof. What a effing great frontman.
Iron Maiden is a Journey. I've been on this Journey for 33 yrs and I'm not getting off. They have been through the Darkest times of this Old Marine's life. There are no words to describe how they affect your Soul. The only way to appreciate the Journey is see them Live. It's so incredible you don't want to leave . Thank you for showing the World what they Mean to a bunch of Old Metal Heads. Iron Maiden is Life every day. The best reaction I've ever seen.
Iron Maiden Remember Tomorrow Live At Ullevi, Sweden is the one you need to do next, trust me. The original studio version was sung by Maiden's original singer Paul Di'Anno, and in this performance Bruce explains that his rendition of this song when he auditioned for Maiden is what got him the job.
Great reaction as always my dude!! Maiden performances are legendary for sure! It might be hard to believe but there are SEVERAL other song performances from them that are just are great or better. If you check out "The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner" from Flight 666 tour it is absolutely epic, I mean epic. That song in itself is a great representation of Iron Maiden's song craft, tempo changes, build ups etc. Guaranteed to leave you speechless!
they are my favorite metal band of all time, been a fan since i was 5 :) I had the privilege of seeing them live in New Zealand.... best money i ever spent!... great video bro and respect the respect you give them, its well deserved :D.
This from 2001, this tour put iron maiden back on the map as a powerhouse band. It was the first time they tour with bruce the lead singer back in 10 yrs. So it was something special to see em live at this time. You should see the clansman from the same concert rock in rio

React to iron Maiden - the rime of the ancient mariner (lyrics) is based in a poem
And the poet was as high as the International Space Station 🤣
