Sir please as a person from Africa coming with a tourist visa is it possible to change from tourist visa status to work and residents permit without having to leave the country?
Hello, I'm Belgian and the minimum wage is not 1954e here. There are 2 minimum wage in belgium, one is about 2000e right now and the other is 1600e right now (both before taxes). The difference between the 2 minimums is too complex to explain here. Between 2015 and 2017 my salary as a belgian in brussels was about 1500e before taxes and comissions. Also meal vouchers are not automatic in belgium, it depend on the sector you are working in.
Thank you for this incredibly useful video! at this time I am planning to move from Lisbon Portugal to Belgium but I am still worried about the work culture in Belgium? Here people are very friendly and easy-going
May I ask how you got a job in Belgium as a non EU citizen? Im also a non EU citizen (im from America) and so far it has been difficult getting a job in Brussels because I need a work permit/visa sponsorship by an employer and most companies don’t sponsor work visas.
It is easy if you are in IT, for example, get a work contract, then you can get a EU Blue Card. I did it, not in Belgium, but the process is the same anywhere in Europe. Some countries are easier than others to get a foot in, less popular places w/less demand, if you're on a Blue Card, it becomes easier after a period of time to transfer somewhere else.

You skimmed over many useful information. What is the minimum monthly salary requirement to get a work permit in Brussels? And how does it differ from the average minimum yearly salary of €45000+? Does it depend on the field that someone is working on? For example, the rate is different for engineers than business analysts?
Work permit is for the entire country and not just A city. There is no minimum monthly salary for a work permit, there is legally a minimum salary that the employer has to offer. 45000 Euro's a year is not the average minimum salary. Unless of course you have a looked for degree and lots of experience and even then it's depending on the field
