    Hello, I'm Belgian and the minimum wage is not 1954e here.
    There are 2 minimum wage in belgium, one is about 2000e right now and the other is 1600e right now (both before taxes).
    The difference between the 2 minimums is too complex to explain here.
    Between 2015 and 2017 my salary as a belgian in brussels was about 1500e before taxes and comissions.
    Also meal vouchers are not automatic in belgium, it depend on the sector you are working in.

      It is easy if you are in IT, for example, get a work contract, then you can get a EU Blue Card. I did it, not in Belgium, but the process is the same anywhere in Europe. Some countries are easier than others to get a foot in, less popular places w/less demand, if you're on a Blue Card, it becomes easier after a period of time to transfer somewhere else.

Now moving to Belgium with same company on 2 years contract and there is high chance of extension. Could you please tell me how to apply EU blue card without my company dependency so that I can stay in Belgium/EU for long time? Basically my consultancy/company operates me to provide services to customer & move me to different location (around the globe) where as I want to stay in single place with family (1 kid). Additionally, do you have any idea about relationship between EU Blue card with UK?! Please share if you have any single point of online resource on this, if any? The housing prices are more expensive in Leuven centre so please check Heverlee region(also in Leuven), you can walk everywhere by foot in Leuven (max 2-3km)
      If you prefer, apartments are much cheaper (and nicer) in Brussels and you can get to Leuven in only 20min by train, make sure to check out the apartments close to train stations in Brussels

    You skimmed over many useful information. What is the minimum monthly salary requirement to get a work permit in Brussels? And how does it differ from the average minimum yearly salary of €45000+? Does it depend on the field that someone is working on? For example, the rate is different for engineers than business analysts?

    • @PDVism
      @PDVism ปีที่แล้ว

      Work permit is for the entire country and not just A city.
      There is no minimum monthly salary for a work permit, there is legally a minimum salary that the employer has to offer.
      45000 Euro's a year is not the average minimum salary.
      Unless of course you have a looked for degree and lots of experience and even then it's depending on the field

He wants to enhance his Flemish and his English speaking skills by taking courses. İn order to fund it he has to find a job in Belgium. Via AirBnb i found a residence between Genk and Brussels and i also will pay his flight ticket to Brussels. Will he be able to find a job in Brussels as an EU-citizen and will there be any formalities witch he will be confronted with..😊 12:32
