I am surprised to see your growing them in cacky, untilled dry soil. Yet, the yield was remarkable ... probably because of regular feeding. I love brusselsprouts. They are so nutritous yet highly underrated, just like Tofu. This year will be my first attempt to grow an organic variety in my garden. Thanks for sharing.
I'm from the USA, I've grown them 4 times, failed the first 3 tries, little knowledge, poor soil, not enough sun were my failures, like you I was amazed they grew so well in soil and tropics, we had an unusual 3 months of high humidity this past summer, it stunted my plants why I'm amazed growing in tropics above, mine are 60 days behind, size of pencil erasers, we've had 2 frosts which the sprouts loved and started growing, I'd though I had failed again but the Northern States here are chilling unlike above which got them growing, hope you don't mind a stranger shares

I am learning in the warmer south that there are more hungry insects than in the north. What natural deterent do you use to keep them away?
Boil them with minimum amount of water till tender then add butter and white pepper and salt if used unsalted butter then sear them on high heat till outer leaves are browned. TASTY

It all depends on how you cook it. A Greek recipe: Wash Sprouts and place in boiling water for about seven minutes. Remove and cut into halves. Set aside. Mix good olive oil with lemon, garlic, salt and pepper to taste and pour over Sprouts.Mix and serve warm or cold. Good luck.
@@santadejesusa199 Not to my knowledge. Brussels Sprouts are generally cooked whole. Try cooking them the way I suggested earlier, the Greek way. You will not be sorry.
Oh really, i didnt know about this. I have seen this sprout and i like it actually but all i know is, its from cabbages hahaha. I thought that when they harvested cabbage there will sprout left or grow from like this hahaha.
