i just tried this immediately after seeing your video and i have to say thank you so much for putting this out there. my hair was a dark blue fading to an ugly green color and i thought bleaching it was the only way to get it out because i wanted to go pastel pink again. i heard of the vitamin c method but unfortunately i had none available but your method worked so good my hair is a light brown now and there is no green what so ever. i know this is so long but im just so happy (: and i only needed to do this once!

This really works, I had a lot of Pravana Chromasilk Vivids in violet in my hair and it wouldn't fade no matter what I did to it. A lot of people on different forums said that this dye is super hard to get out so when I came across this video I decided to try it. Followed all the directions and my hair is a dark silver. Super satisfied with the results!

I tried this method yesterday to remove an unfavorable blue/mintgreen color that just wouldnt come off for months! It really works!! Pretty much all of the green came out (just a slight mint left here, barely visible so thats no biggie). I had used the loreal colorista blue semi permanent on my bleached hair this summer.. So this was almost 4 m ago and the damn color was so stubborn. I tried a color remover TWICE and nothing. I'm so happy i found this video.. I even omitted the vingar rinse since I didnt have it available at home and it still worked wonders in my opinion! Thank you so much!!

In case anyone wants a written version!
    1) IN PREPARATION:
    • Apply melted virgin coconut oil to hair. Leave it in for around two hours
    2) PREPARE THE MIX:
    • 1 cup of shampoo
    • 1 spoon of melted coconut oil
    • 2 big spoons of olive oil
    (mix)
    • 1/3 cup of bleach powder
(stir really well for around a minute)
    3) APPLY THE MIX TO HAIR
    • Hair must be saturated
    • Scrub as if cleaning with shampoo
    4) APPLY HEAT
    • Cover hair with a shower cap
    • Apply heat with a hair dryer for five minutes
    • Scrub again
    • REPEAT TWICE (three times total!)
    5) WASH HAIR
    • As normal- shampoo, conditioner, and warm water
    6) APPLY VINEGAR/WATER MIX
    • Mix 1 part white vinegar with 1 part water
    • Apply the mix after washing, wait at least a minute
    • Rinse with cold water
    • Condition again
    Repeat process if necessary!
I tried this on shoulder length hair, split dyed dark pink and a very dark purple. The pink faded to a very soft colour, and the purple was COMPLETELY removed. I was left with really pretty dark blonde hair on that side. I really recommend this!!!

this video saved me. i tried my first semi-permanent dye experiment with directions cerise and violet yesterday on a very light blonde/grey-ish base and sadly it all went wrong. i was hoping for a sorta cherry pastel pink because i thought cerise would be much much warmer, but i ended up lavander/pink. and that could've been okay, if only i wasn't splotchy EVERYWHERE. the top of my head was almost grey, the lengths were a nice pastel but other strands of my hair were a vibrant purple. since i'm leaving for a vacation in 2 days i didn't have much time to fix it but i found this video yesterday and decided to try it immediately today. incredible, i'm back to my grey-ish blonde base with only some hints of pastel pink that i don't mind at all. amazing. thank you SO MUCH!

IM SO HAPPY WITH THIS SOLUTION! I've done it a couple times on blue hair that I couldn't get rid of for months, and now I'm pretty much back to blond! And this solution didn't bleach my brown roots. This has left me VERY satisfied. Some of the instructions are unclear, but the first time I did this I used half a cup of shampoo, which made me A LOT. The second time I did this I used 1/4 cup of shampoo, 1/8 cup of bleach powder, and one teaspoon of coconut oil. This made just the right amount for the length of my hair(it's past the shoulders by about 4-6 inches). I will DEFINETLLY be using this treatment again!

I've never had a DIY color removing method work so well in my life! Arctic fox purple had been s t u c k in my hair that wouldn't budge. Two treatments of this and I'm left with pastels! I would suggest doing conditioning treatments in between sessions because if your hair is as damaged as mine (from bleaching), this will make your hair feel coarse. However, it's nowhere near as bad as what a bleach bath or full-on bleaching would do to your hair! Fyi, i left my mixture on for 30 minutes, no heat applied. Scrubbed hair with some water and let it foam up and rinse with warm water. Thanks for the insight into this miracle remover!

I used ion color brilliance blue and a month later it still was not fading at all. I usually use artic fox which is easy to get out. I was panicking that I'd never be able to get rid of the blue. I want to go silver and I did two bleaches and two color removers which made it a pale teal. I've been using lemon/conditioner, vitamin c, and head and shoulders shampoo with long baths to remove the dye. This made it a pale mint, just a couple more rounds and I should be able to get Deanery's Targaryen's hair. Thank you!

I found this video 7 weeks ago, when I used arctic fox's purple rain and poseidon almost pure (little conditioner). I hated it and wanted my pastel pink back. I wasn't too comfortable though using the ammonia bleach, so I tried to stay patient and just let it fade with every wash. Now, 7 weeks later, the blue and purple faded a lot but to a point where it just wouldn't get that little bit of rest dye out anymore, so I came back to this and just did it. It's amazing :) You could literally watch the light purple turn back to blonde in the mirror, it was a thing of a few seconds. Yet, as she says, your hair must be saturated in the mixture so make sure you really have enough (make more if you have longer hair than hers). Thank you for making this, I'm so happy it worked!

This time my hair was purple again (matrix so color semi) and NOTHING would get the dye out!!! Baking soda- no. Anti-dandruff- no. Malibu direct dye remover- no. But I totally forgot about this method and so glad I found it again but IT TOOK ALL THE PURPLE OUT! I’m left with a med green/blue tinge so I did it again and I’m almost at my starting blonde base again!!! Gonna give this a third round soon. I did 1/3 powder, 1 cup head and shouders and 3 tbps olive oil

  • @Nunekhiia
    @Nunekhiia  8 ปีที่แล้ว +140

I hope his explains it better for everyone on why IT DOESN'T BLEACH THE HAIR.
It is not the same as bleaching the hair at all. If it were, the hair would suffer the same effects by lightening several levels or more, there would be significantly noticeable disulfide bond breakage and protein reduction. The water in the shampoo is the biggest oxidant, which is not like using actual developer. It's about 80% shampoo, a total of about 20-40% water, depending on the shampoo 15% bleach powder and the rest oils. With bleaching, at a 1:1 ratio making a 5oz batch, you have a concentration of Bleach powder that is 50%, a much higher concentration of alkalizers and high pH reducing, bleaching agents. You also are releasing a much higher amount of oxygen, at a very rapid rate, which is the driving force behind bleaching.

If i had done it about one or two more times , it would've gotten golden blonde. My hair is like a copper color now, because i had purple, blue and pink in my hair.

Hey, thank you so much for this method! My hair base was blonde and bleached, I put semi permanent blue dye on my hair, it turned to a messy muddy green with patchy spots. I've been searching about bleach bath, some people said they don't use developer and results are better under youtube comments, but I couldn't find any further explanation except this video which totally saved my life! This week I dyed my hair first with ammonia free dye(blue black), then ammonia dye(roots were orange so I had to) , then direct blue dye, then washed it with dandruff shampoo to get rid of the mess... I was in a terrible situation, my hair is actually healthy but the color made it look like I don't dye my hair for months. Whatever, the only different thing I used is ammonia bleach because I couldn't wait for shipping of ammonia free bleach, I need to be able to go outside asap lol. I was so fkin afraid of the result, my heart was beating like a drum until I blowdry my hair... Because last time I bleached my hair, It came out with an unusable brassy orangy yellowish tone. Now I'm almost completely free of the stained parts except my front which I put a lot of blue dye in. And results is: a nice coppery orange! You know what when I first dyed my hair it was almost this color, I've been thinking about trying it again in autumn/winter time, so this is a great coincidence for me. Plus I didn't have to dye or tone it again. Thank you so much:))

Okay this works. I switched mine up some and used what I had on hand, but it got the pink and purple out of my hair completely. I used the L’Oréal blue bleach and some hair oils I had on hand instead of coconut oil (didn’t feel like taking a trip to the store). Put this on with a plastic cap and massaged it every few minutes and used my dryer also. It all came out and with no damage either.

so i just did this over about a week old artic fox purple rain and it worked, my hair feels okay as well, this is def better than a color remover. just for my own experience. i had bleached brassy hair before i put the purple over it, now it looks like a lighter brown with highlights and a little warm toned. my ultimate goal is to go pale blond again but i wanted to remove the purple so i could focus on treatments and getting my hair better in the next couple of months. and also i did it exactly like she did, so no other difference except i used wella charm powder bleach.

Ok so im gonna comment my experience, so around 3-4 weeks ago I had my hair very light blonde & i wanted it pink so I went out to get arctic fox virgin pink hair dye, i applied it and my hair was a very pretty pink, and it barley washed off, so now 3-4 weeks later I wanted my blonde hair back so I went to sallys and asked for something like color oops and I had seen on youtube that color oops made pink arctic fox pink dye turn blue, so I asked the girl at sallys if what she gave me was gonna turn my hair blue she said no, i went home and I put in on and my hair turned BLUE AND PURPLE, pink was gone now it was blue and purple😫😫😫😫 so I came across your video and I tried this and let me tell you girl thank you so freaking much😭 as soon as I started putting the mixture in my hair the blue was taking off and it started turning back to pink and I did everything you did nd my blonde hair was coming in😻😻😻 Im just gonna do this one more time tonight because there are a couple of pink streaks but thanks a lot girl you saved my life 😫😫😫

I know this is an old video, but I just wanna say Thank You.
My hair previously was a blonde with 2 inches grow out(original black Asian hair)
Then I bleached the root to level 8 and decided to dye my hair to purple plus lavender using Ion brilliance purple plus lavender.
I hated the color- it came out too dark.
I follow your video(I skip the vinegar part). On the first try, 80% of the purple are gone- I have only couple strands that I miss.
I will do another one and then tone it.
    Thanks so much

i'm a bit confused because i've never seen bleach being used without the developer. what does the powder do on it own, and why is it less damaging to the hair?

    • @Nunekhiia
      @Nunekhiia  8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Hi! I have a little explanation on it on the description of the video, I hope it clears up any doubts. But in short it works as an exfoliant but better. Less damaging as it doesn't bleach the hair. ( some people remove it with a clear color and developer) and some use vitamic C or baking soda which doesn't remove as well as this one and expands the cuticule so ends up being just as damaging as bleach sometimes. This has been the best method I've tried so far.

Also, how soon after doing this can I apply a different semi-permanent hair color?

    • @Nunekhiia
      @Nunekhiia  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It's important to do the vinegar as it helps restore the PH of the hair. However, there are products out there that restore the PH, of course, will be more expensive than your vinegar but that works too.
I would recommend you apply the colour for at least 2 washes of hair later.

So I did it the first time last night. Doing it again rn. I've had it in a long a** time and used foil over the pink parts. Will gove an update. PS I added purple shampoo in the mix to help because I've seen it somewhere. I make my own by using gelatin violet in white shampoo. Better than silver lights but not better than prevana.
