I am not a steelers fan in anyway but man, he finally got his big break. He finally got what he wanted, and then this happens. It's so incredibly sad. Prayers to his family. A young superstar, gone too soon
He was given the starting job on Washington. That was his big break. But he was busy partying. The truth is that he wasn't a NFL QB. He didn't have it in him

Yea, honestly he only had a like a half a quarter to play and wasnt even really with the starters, so maybe we can see if he can get some more preseason snaps
Agreed. His footwork/pocket movement doesn't seem any better than it was in Washington thus far. It was the first preseason game but....through that entire highlight I only saw one attempt over 5-10 yards

It’s what was being given to him, most of playing QB isn’t about having a flashy arm it’s about making the right read and getting the ball out on time

@Hacker Killer they never cut him. They traded him to Jax for a 5th round pick. Jax released him and Steelers claimed him. Not much better, but Jax was on their decline when he went there. They cleaned house anyways, Dobbs was definitely not staying too.
@Hacker Killer Because every decision he made with the football was the right one - That incompletion on 3rd down I believe? Where does the ball have to go? To the back of the end zone - That exactly what happened with Dobbs - Rudolph and Haskins would have never made the right decision 😂
I think he has way more potential than Rudolph, the only question is if he can get the off the field stuff under control

Draft bust we have seen this so many times had a good college career but doesn't translate in the NFL in reality Haskins only cares about the paycheck. Doesn't care about proving the doubters wrong
@@charlesleeray6810 Haskins would’ve ended the night with the best passing performance of any QB that played if it were not for drops and Isaiah McCoy getting interfered with on that sideline pass which would’ve been a TD. I’m not sure how that translates to him being bad, I thought he had a solid performance.
Steeler fans are in denial. Every short pass he did manage to make was always low and barely caught

Looks just like he did in DC. No fundamentals. Doesn’t step into his throws at all. Still throws off his back foot. Only once last night. Did it all the time in DC. And biggest problem is he throws with no anticipation. He’s still throwing based on what was open at Ohio State. Open in college and open in the NFL are two different things.

Exactly what i said... does 1 read and runs the ball and also if you're not OPEN OPEN, he's not gonna anticipate where the runner is going and he's gonna run the ball.

That flat footed throw was really impressive. That takes just pure arm strength and it was on a rope straight to the numbers. I think Dwayne can be qb1 in Pittsburgh and do it at a high level

dwayne missed a few big passes imo. he had a touchdown to 83 on a corner. he had ray ray on a zig that would’ve been a first down being the distance between ray ray and the defender. there was also another play he missed ray ray that he ended up throwing to james washington, but it was a drop. and to be fair there were about 4 drops that should’ve been completions. he played solid though. you can definitely see the natural talent he carries out there because it showed on a few plays.
it were receivers fault if he had claypool it would have gone 11-12/13 one to mc cloud i think it was really his fault

Exactly. Check down check down. Every pass 10 yards or longer incomplete. That pass near the goal line was awful, low and in the dirt
His mobility is there now, but he looks so raw especially not making those deep throws.

i think that Dobbs did it better, but the game plan didn't help him, let's see how Matt Canada does it in the next games.
@@pop3456 Dobbs looked the best, and with no mistakes. He only looked bad a few times when the receivers weren’t open, or the play wasn’t right.
