Oh god just.. hearing someone say he/him without needed to desperately explain my whole situation is just… so nice. It got me all teary honestly. My whole imposter syndrome and just gender dysphoria has been kinda bad lately, and while it doesn’t quite soothe the way I want to rip out of my skin, it feels so nice not to have my pronouns totally abused. Thank you Gibi, from the bottom of my heart.
@@diavolosteddy7594 Yep. It’s a cursed thing, because while I know that I am truly a man, and the fact that I have wanted to even self harm due to the dysphoria, there was still a corner in my brain saying that It was all in my head and I’m faking it for attention.

I'm quite feminine even though I hate my body and being called femine terms. It gets really bad feeling like I'm fakinh it because I like wearing crop tops and skirts
this may seem like a dumb thing to say, but one of the most touching parts of this video is seeing an asmrtist i love not only being confident and open about queerness, but also openly addressing imperfect skin stuff. for me, one of the most important parts of pride was wanting to wear certain clothing i felt i could never wear because for all of my life my skin has been rash-y, or i've had bad acne, or some other skin issue. it means a lot to see somebody whom i consider kind, beautiful, and proud, to be proud not only for queerness but in terms of skin type too. makes me feel better about wearing whatever i want no matter what my skin does, too. thanks so much for making all of these videos, and being so conscientious about the whole process.
Hell yeah! Be confident in who you are and what you look like!! I 1000% get the whole clothing thing. At the last pride event I went to I finally felt safe enough to just wear my binder and overall shorts! I have always been scared to wear those shorts because they could be considered "women's clothes" but at pride I knew people would be respectful and ask preferred pronouns! Dont forget that your skin is beautiful and keep showing your pride
The fact you made all these videos, all these different versions for everyone, writing the scripts interacting with the community, taking suggestions and advices, all in such little time, is truly amazing Gibi, thank you, well done 😊.
@@Juddcordy08 it's alright! Already got the answer from another comment. Apparently binder is something trans people wear on their chest and binder fitting means taking the measurements for binder.
I know I feel like it probably would have made more sense to just refilm the parts where pronouns were used and take out or add the binder bit where relevant. This is going above and beyond to create a custom experience for everyone

As a he/they who loves more feminine clothes, this makes me so happy she shows all Types if clothes and not just masculine clothes. It makes me feel really loved especially with a family who misgenders me if I dress femininely, even though they know my pronouns.

@@potato9619 Hi! Yes, it means that both he/him and they/them pronouns are allowed to be used for us some people prefer one over the other and some people have no preference but yeah its basically just you can use either of those sets of pronouns for us
when she pulled out the binder to give to us i completely broke down (/pos) because i had to save up for *months* to get my first binder and order it in secret for my safety so when she gave us the binder it genuinely felt like a friend giving us a gift.
Also the fact that you specifically included Reggie's story and talked so openly about the acceptance of he/him lesbians and pronouns not equalling gender is something that immediately made me tear up. It made me feel so valid and accepted and I just aaaa!!! I honestly cannot thank you enough for this series, such a wonderful way to end pride :))
@@dajaunkata someone’s pronouns are not the same as their gender-a person could identify as female in gender, but go by they/them or he/him pronouns, and this is true for all other configurations as well! therefore if you identify as a woman and like other women, you could consider yourself a lesbian and still go by he/him pronouns. (and really, gender and all of that is a social construct so people can just choose the titles/terms that they are most comfortable with) -i hope that helped:)
@@dajaunkata pronouns dont equal gender, theyre just words that people use to refer to themselves. he/him may be mostly used by english speaking males, but it also can be used by nonbinary people, females, and ofc other languages (would that be neopronouns ig? cool to think about)
I nearly cried during this. I am a trans boy going through female puberty and starting to have realy realy bad gender dysphoria and am not out to any one yet. This was fantastic. Having you be there to support me, getting me a binder, using my preferred pronouns, this was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Thank you.

Hey, I know I'm some random person on the internet, but I'm enby and I had to go through the wrong puberty. One of my close friends is a trans man who also had to fully go through it. If you're not in a safe space to transition right now, I want you to know this: it'll work out. It'll be a little slower, a little harder, not going to lie, but transition and looking the way you know you should *will* still happen even if you transition as an adult. HRT is magic. Don't give up. Hang in there. You will be who you're meant to be. Have hope 💜

I'm a trans kid ( he/they) starting grade 8, and I'm terrified. I've been identifying as trans since the 6 grade but I'm closeted only out to family and friends. My school isn't known for being accepting and I don't want to come out but the thought of being called she everyday makes me cry. I've been sobbing for the last hour the only thing really calming me down is this being called he and getting a binder soothed my mind. So thank you for making this video gibi. Hey man, hope this year turned out better than you thought. I’m a trans male too (he/him) and also struggle going to a pretty homophobic and transphobic high school. This upcoming year is my first year being fully out in public and I’m scared down to hell but I promise it gets better. If you haven’t already, email your upcoming teachers in high school if you’re comfortable and tell them your preferred name and pronouns (if you can’t change them on your transcript which you can do!). Don’t over bind, please please please, I’m a massive hypocrite but be safe. People will surprise you and while it feels like the world is on fire (especially if you’re in the US) not only do you have your supportive friends and family but all of us. Transmasc he/him user here,it definitely is a struggle to not have others know who you are. What you lack in those around you,you have on here an plenty of other people that accept you as you are regardless if you are out or not. While a very small margin of people are trans even 1% of america alone is 1.6 billion people. Not everyone will accept you but that doesn't make you any less of a person,or the person you know you are. You deserve the best,have a great day/night
i hope 8th grade went well for you! i assume you’re starting high school soon so good luck! im also a trans man and am about to enter my junior year and i found the most helpful thing for me throughout my highschool years was immediately emailing my teachers before school started my preferred name and pronouns. also, whenever there are substitute teachers and they call out your deadname for attendance, don’t say “here” or anything, just go up to the substitute after attendance and tell them that you didn’t hear them and that you’re actually there. that way your deadname doesn’t get exposed to classmates. P.E. can be somewhat difficult but what i did was tell my P.E. teacher that i was trans and she let me change in the bathrooms instead of the locker room. i also have plenty of trans friends that just straight up changed in the boys locker room too (although i don’t recommend this bc mens locker rooms are DISGUSTING)!! i’m sorry about how long this rant was but i hope you find some of this info useful! i wish you the best of luck starting 9th grade!

A community doesn't have to accept you if you want to discriminate against them, and saying that people not wanting to be insulted for being born a certain way is in anyway hypocritical of inclusiveness is stupid, immature and a major reason you're being excluded from the community probably. Bigots aren't owed inclusion; it's a choice to be discriminatory.
I have never felt more comfortable and safe within a video. I feel like you’re talking right to me. I don’t know my pronouns if I’m being honest, but I definitely dress more masculine and identify more with he/him pronouns but I’ve never told anyone that before. I always wanted a binder, regardless of my pronouns. To most Im just a tomboy. And maybe I am. But I really thank you for this, I hope I get to go to a pride event in the future. I look forward to living now :)

I live in a place where it’s not safe for LGBTQIA+ people. Some stores have gotten bomb threats for having pride displays. I wish I could go to a pride even irl but it wouldn’t be safe for me so I like to watch videos of them online. I love your content and I love that your making videos like this that are inclusive and informational. Where I live it’s also illegal for minors to have access to gender affirming healthcare because it’s considered child abuse.

@@mirii7 I use both and the reason I do that is because both fit my preferences, I'm not saying they're the same thing. Bisexual= attracted to both sides of gender spectrum (which can include nonbinary people) pansexual = attracted to people of all genders. I can use either and they fit me.

Since you said that in the description, I wanted to say, I used to identify as bi and pan too but there is actually a label for it under the bi umbrella :) It doesnt matter if it doesnt resonate with you, but this is how I identify - omnisexual - attracted to all genders (so, like pan, BUT), gender plays a part less or more in the attraction to someone, we are not genderblind, like pansexuals. There is also a term Abrosexual, which means that your sexuality changes over time :D This video is literally life saving.... I found Gibi from their Hange asmr, I remember I was at my dads house at listened to you for the first time I fell asleep at 7pm and woke up at 10pm. That night you also helped me sleep, a few months has passed now and i’m crying to you. I feel so safe here, all I can imagine is if I ever come out to my mom her taking me to pride. @@dajaunkata someone’s pronouns are not the same as their gender-a person could identify as female in gender, but go by they/them or he/him pronouns, and this is true for all other configurations as well! therefore if you identify as a woman and like other women, you could consider yourself a lesbian and still go by he/him pronouns. (and really, gender and all of that is a social construct so people can just choose the titles/terms that they are most comfortable with) -i hope that helped:)

If you're not in a safe space to transition right now, I want you to know this: it'll work out. This upcoming year is my first year being fully out in public and I’m scared down to hell but I promise it gets better. If you haven’t already, email your upcoming teachers in high school if you’re comfortable and tell them your preferred name and pronouns (if you can’t change them on your transcript which you can do!). Don’t over bind, please please please, I’m a massive hypocrite but be safe. What you lack in those around you,you have on here an plenty of other people that accept you as you are regardless if you are out or not. While a very small margin of people are trans even 1% of america alone is 1.6 billion people. Not everyone will accept you but that doesn't make you any less of a person,or the person you know you are. You deserve the best,have a great day/night
i hope 8th grade went well for you! i assume you’re starting high school soon so good luck! im also a trans man and am about to enter my junior year and i found the most helpful thing for me throughout my highschool years was immediately emailing my teachers before school started my preferred name and pronouns. also, whenever there are substitute teachers and they call out your deadname for attendance, don’t say “here” or anything, just go up to the substitute after attendance and tell them that you didn’t hear them and that you’re actually there. that way your deadname doesn’t get exposed to classmates. P.E. can be somewhat difficult but what i did was tell my P.E. teacher that i was trans and she let me change in the bathrooms instead of the locker room. i also have plenty of trans friends that just straight up changed in the boys locker room too (although i don’t recommend this bc mens locker rooms are DISGUSTING)!! i’m sorry about how long this rant was but i hope you find some of this info useful! i wish you the best of luck starting 9th grade!

I don’t know my pronouns if I’m being honest, but I definitely dress more masculine and identify more with he/him pronouns but I’ve never told anyone that before. I’m a trans boy (he/him) and I came out over the summer between 6th and 7th grade. I have a wonderful supportive family who tries to respect my pronouns and use my name. I live in a place where it’s not safe for LGBTQIA+ people. Some stores have gotten bomb threats for having pride displays. I wish I could go to a pride even irl but it wouldn’t be safe for me so I like to watch videos of them online. I love your content and I love that your making videos like this that are inclusive and informational. Where I live it’s also illegal for minors to have access to gender affirming healthcare because it’s considered child abuse.

@@mirii7 I use both and the reason I do that is because both fit my preferences, I'm not saying they're the same thing. Bisexual= attracted to both sides of gender spectrum (which can include nonbinary people) pansexual = attracted to people of all genders. I can use either and they fit me.

i'm a trans man (pre t and surgery), but i usually dress pretty feminine and most people veiw me as a girl, so i almost never get just... casually gendered correctly, or viewed as male. made me a bit emotional right as the roleplay started lol. thank you so much for this video.

Hi Gina... Since you said that in the description, I wanted to say, I used to identify as bi and pan too but there is actually a label for it under the bi umbrella :) It doesnt matter if it doesnt resonate with you, but this is how I identify - omnisexual - attracted to all genders (so, like pan, BUT), gender plays a part less or more in the attraction to someone, we are not genderblind, like pansexuals.
There is also a term Abrosexual, which means that your sexuality changes over time :D

I found Gibi from their Hange asmr, I remember I was at my dads house at listened to you for the first time I fell asleep at 7pm and woke up at 10pm. That night you also helped me sleep, a few months has passed now and i’m crying to you. I feel so safe here, all I can imagine is if I ever come out to my mom her taking me to pride. I’ve been listening to this and playing genshin relaxing for hours, it’s 3:30am. I could sleep if i laid now , but having this in the background is the best thing ever. Thank you Gibi
