Love this build, it coming along reallly well. In Oklahoma you have to hav permits and signage showing you are hauling possible exploding tanks of welding gas on the trucks. Secure the heck out of that stuff.

It sounds like a In-line 671 Detroit. 6+1 Eaton trans. Yes Cory some of those air dryer do that. Good looking N model Ford. That brake valve is hard to get to. Back in 1974 I made a stubby wrench for the air line to that valve. I still have that wrench today. As long as you do not lay those tanks down you can transport them safely. If you lay them down it becomes a hazard. Then they must have caps. I like your channel. When I was young my wife worked right by my side just like Hanna. She helped me rebuild an inframe job on a 8v71 Detroit and she was pregnant. She out worked two men and she was a tinny little thing. I have a 1966 c50 flat bed dump. I have to do the brakes on the next go round. I hope you all made it ok.

Heh heh, what a cool old Ferd! Back in the 1990's, I used to drive one of these with a 534 cu. in. V8 gasser. It would literally pass everything but a gas station.🤣 About 3-4 mpg. pulling a 35ft. flatbed.😲It originally had a 4 bbl. Holley with a built-in governor, which we replaced with an adapter and an Edelbrock 4 bbl. and the mileage immediately jumped to 8 mpg. and ran so much better!😉 The one we had was a N.M./Arizona truck all of it's life and was pretty much rust-free. Someone had taken the time to do a really nice paint job on it.. a 2 tone red and white, and the interior was bone stock and perfect! It had a 5 speed and a 2 speed axle, which was geared just right for the big old gas burner under the hood. Some Mexican truck collector spied it when were in El Paso one day after dropping a load of scrap metal and offered us twice what we paid for it, and my boss sold it the next day!😄

Awesome truck, Hope you have a safe trip, but for God's sake remove the torch regulators along with your Argon bottle regulator and install the transport caps. Several have commented on the torches but the welder tank also needs capped. If you have already left for Daytona I am sure there will be several gas suppliers along route where you can get some. Enjoy watching your channel but you really need follow some safety practices.
Hey Cory/Hannah. Thanks again for letting us view your projects. Cory. You scare me a little. In one of your camera shots, I noticed a caged parking brake. Your parking brake will not work with the caging tool compressing the spring. I was glad to see you put on an air dryer. Just a note. You want to have a slight downward slope from the compressor to the dryer. So any moisture in the line doesn’t freeze up when it sits. Also leaking out the exhaust port. 90 percent of the time it is a bad brake chamber. More specifically service and park brake chamber. They are suppose to be separate from park to service, but sometimes they develope a leak between the two. Remove the service line from the chamber. Block the wheels of corse. Release the park brake. See if you have air coming from the port you just removed. If so, replace the chamber or piggy back. Be careful to get the correct size. The other thing could be a quick release valve that is hanging up. Or a stuck exhaust port further down the line. Good luck!

In the trucking industry, those mirrors are known as West Coast mirrors, you can find them a lot at the time at truckstops in the truckstop stores and they are expensive there but sometimes you can find them there. You used to be able to anyway nowadays who knows haven’t been in a truckstop for years, just thought I’d mention that

I've always shifted without the clutch except for start and reverse. any reason why you use it on every shift? Proper rpm and the trans should shift just fine.

You guys like them trucks, you should go over to what the rust, there is one over there with a service bed a v6 of all things .I think he said owner I selling all cheap alot of trucks but that one was very cool and had a crane on the back
Corey you really need to quit cutting by your body those grinders are no joke... Just trust me on this one. Accidents happen in the blink of the eye and can really be a bad deal. I just had one of those freak accidents happened to me and now I'm recovering from surgery on my left hand makes it real hard to do damn near anything like I'm used to. Thankfully I had a 96,000 surgery to put my hand back together and it will be a good year before I regain full use of it. Just please think about that. I would rather be an example then to see you have to suffer through a recovery process. I like your channel and I like the stuff you do.
we have a similar bearing greaser in aus but instead of pushin it into a can of grease it has a grease nipple on it , just pump it up very cleen way to do it pushes all the old grease out the sides not into your can of grease

You can always get bearing buddies the end of each axle once you have greased time originally just give a few squirts here and there

I think that drier just needs a check valve screwed in it to stop it after it purges. Kinda likes on a regular air compressor

I only use the clutch to start and stop. Easy to shift those without the clutch.

Check for a leaking brake can. They can feed back and come out the exhaust. Pinch off the hose on the spring brake side o e at a time. Good luck
