Saw her last week and she was outstanding! Took us all by surprise that she started show on time!...and wasted no time singing her top hits straight to your heart! She looked like she was actually singing LIVE to beat! And she sang and sounded fabulous like we remembered her to sing 30+ yrs ago which blew our minds in delight. Would go see her again in a heartbeat!
Approach is the same, cause Mariah never really adapted her voice to begin with, she was just singing and going on with whatever her voice was ready for at any particular moment, but she almost never really made any conscious effort to change her technique And yeah, comparing her now to 96 is just...wrong in all senses
