My grandfather was born and raised on White Mountain reservation. He's still alive but his grandson, my cousin, recently died unexpectedly. Seeing his 4 year old daughter dance in a jingle dress at his funeral was one of the saddest most beautiful sights my eyes have ever seen. I listen to this music and remember my cousin.
I lived among the White Mountain Apaches in the 80s. Even though I am a Mescalero Apache. My kinship with them is still as strong as ever to this day. I consider myself to be apart of them and I always will. Their homelands are my home away from home. Thank You.
Songs like this awaken something in me. I hear songs in my dreams I've never heard before. Never could I dream things like that on my own will, our traditional music gives me powerful dreams and wind direction meanings.
Yes good apache spirit world music I'm apache n black yellow scarecrow here 💛 my Millsboro delaware pow wow is this year 2021 September 9th n 10th smoke signals my brother's
This song has a lot of feeling to it. Upper East Fork/Rock Creek awesome place to be. Winter time from fort apache you could see the snow storms traveling through there and it's beautiful monsoon sunsets. A place where heaven blankets them peaks with awesome clouds and brings forth the most beautiful rainbows. The air is nice and crisp and the trees provide droplets of water for all the lil birds and other critters. Rock Creek watching a monsoon sunset from there brings you all the beauty of colors and designs. Apache people are truly blessed and one of Native America's most talented artist is from that area . Singers brought a beautiful song to life....
I'm not native. I really enjoy the songs. I LOVE reading these comments and seeing the connection everyone has to their land, family through these videos. I'm grateful that you share these. Thank You!!!
Love this Song . . . I'm from Cibecue. Tha Elders of Cibecue all come to Mind when ever I hear this Song .. I miss playing at their feet when my Grandparents would go and visit with their Buddies. Hearing them talk of tha Old Days. When they were Children or Young Adults ... I was raised by tha Elders, Metaphorically Speaking. When my Grandparents left this World, I left home as well. Been residing off tha Reservation, here in tha Cities of our Country ever since. Remember to keep ALL *Relations who, like myself, reside of tha Reservation[s] in Thought & Prayer. Some of us get forgotten but wii don't ever forget where wii come from.
I love this because it is inside of me I can at times hear the old singing from the past and crying to or future to change and yes I'm Apache Eagle clan of the WMAT. And to all Apache Tribes and other native nations protect ur people and ur surrounding community's. Proud to be an Apache.
In from the Navajo Nation Im glad I learned the Navajo language from my mom, dad and Joe Kee at U.N.M. I like to think all the cool students in Navajo class 2023 that wanted to learn the language with me. Darrel, Nizonhi, Eli, Robert Charmaine.

Beautiful Song! Can make out the words and possibly the meaning. It’s great to finally know I am half White Mountain Apache after all this time. It is a blessing I met my Shitaa’. I am born of the Butterfly and Roadrunner.
My kids always get quiet when I play this song. They get so wild and loud then this song will play and they just settle down again. Thanks for sharing.
1/4 San Carlos Apache from the red sand streak clan. We lost our grandpa a few years ago.. after his passing we started to be more involved with our Apache side and it’s been great so far.. ever since I was a little girl, hearing songs in Apache always gave me the urge to dance and they made me feel at ease just like this one.
I'm Diné. I never knew Diné People had a clan for Mescalero Apaches. I'm so glad to be indigenous❤️ We are so connected to The Ket People and Eskimos. Love to you from Diné Nation 🕊️

Why does this make me instantly tear up and my heart and chest get heavy? Not being dramatic but it happens when I listen to native Americans singing. There are no Timucuan songs left to sing from the local tribes of North FL
